I've just had it confirmed that a new 991.2 will be officially on show at Cars and Coffee Byron Bay this weekend. Porsche Gold Coast are bringing one down for us to climb all over.

Starts at 8.30 and runs until lunchtime....or longer if you want to stay longer.

Due to a number of things, I have cancelled the January Cars and Coffee Byron Bay.

1. Too many cars and people on our roads here at the moment (gridlock is a common word I use)
2. Ballina Show and Shine on the same day and just 20 minutes away (I plan to attend)
3. Still working with Council on getting an approval to hold the event.

We will be back in February - We will return.

It's a double header this weekend. Brisbane on the Saturday and Byron on the Sunday. If anyone wants to make a Porsche weekend out of it, I can arrange accommodation for two nights in Byron. So go to Brisbane CnC on Saturday, drive to Byron, spend Sunday at Byron CnC, then hang around our beaches or mountains and head back to work early Monday morning. Remember the time difference makes this less of a chore - it only takes 38 minutes from Byron to Brisbane with daylight savings !!! - but 2 hours, 38 minutes to return

We are on again, this time the date is a little different - it is now October 18. Same place - Same time - 8.30am - 10.30 am at The Farm, Byron Bay.

Free to enter - however a $2 charge if you wish to enter the "People's Choice" award. And we will be using an exciting new smartphone app to allow crowd voting. Stay tuned.

Byron Online Voting for Cars and Coffee - Request for help.

As part of our growing Cars and Coffee Byron Bay, I have started to charge $2 per car to enter the People’s Choice award. This is an award which is decided…..by the people. And, to cut down on the manual paperwork, I have created a simple website to allow each car to be tagged on the way in, and then we can all vote over our smartphones.

This has the added benefit that even those who are interested, but can’t make it on the day, can still vote.

And this is where you all come in to play.

Between 9am and 10am on Sunday morning (this Sunday), it would be great if you would visit http://www.votler.com and vote on the Byron Bay event.

You will need to have a Facebook account, as that is how we are limiting the votes to one per person. (Other non-Facebook login methods will come later). If you don’t have Facebook, then sorry - next month perhaps.

It’s free to vote, and I won’t spam you or post to your Facebook page. Although, I might contact you if you are one of the people who votes on the winning car as you will also win a prize.

It's on again in just a few days time. If you are coming, I have been asked to get all the cars in before 9am. They are wanting to limit the time for car movements mixing with young children wandering around the farm.
