35 acre property needs a quad bike right? The vendor left a ride on mower but not a quaddy. They did leave a quad bike trailer and watering trailer so what to do....?

Given I’m also getting a car trailer the quad bike concept has quickly morphed from farm utility to trail riding . I used to have an Enduro bike and spent some time thrashing it about in deepest Wales in the UK so I’ve got some idea of how it all works.

So what’s the go for both jobs? I’m tipping 2 stroke is off the list. Second hand? New? Best brands? Sizes? Roll over hoops ? What else?

If you’ve done all this before then please let me have your wisdom.

TIA.

Can’t wait to go ‘farming’

OK chaps. Did a handover of the shed property the other day and gawd there is a lot of grass on the place. Apparently takes up to 6 hours on a ride-on to sort it out. Of course that's weekly in the growing season and not much at all in the winter. At $50/hr for a man and a mower (I'm assuming my time is worth more than that so I'm outsourcing) that's $300 per mow and I'm guessing anywhere between $5k to $10k / annum depending on how frequently it will need mowing. The Ambrogio unit in the vid is $20k and mows the grass for ya. Parks up at night on the charging station and goes again the next day with no involvement from you once it's all set up. If it all works properly, your grass is cut while you earn money or indulge in the pleasures of life. Over a 10 year period it's $2k / annum so is quite cheap by comparison. Yes that's a quick and dirty comparison but it'll do for now.

	IF IT ALL WORKS PROPERLY.

So, has anyone got experience and views on this technology? The property ain't no flat domestic lawn but at the same time there are several sections (the bits near the house) where it's not that challenging.

	Hey everyone

I wanted to get your opinions, and possibly your feedback, on whether or not I should get paint protection film or paint protection ceramic coating.

I live out towards Penrith, and a majority of my drive takes me through backroads full of stones and rocks, and I was wondering what you would recommend for someone who is trying to keep the paint clean on his Macan.

I've done a bit of research on them both, so I am fairly well read on both products, but I would love to get a second opinion from someone who has actually gone and gotten either paint protection film or ceramic coating.

	Cheers!

So i've been looking for a reliable but affordable wall mounted exhaust fan that can help vent fumes out of my garage. I've heard mixed reviews from people around effectiveness and noise but I have a standard 6x6m double garage and wanted to see if anyone had a product recommendation?

After finding a photo for the "How did your love of Porsches begin" I found a few of the cars I photographed that were wandering around Saigon back in the troubled times in 1970/71.

Some interesting stuff, considering most people think there were only Citroens and Renaults on the streets along with a zillion motor cycles

A couple of 1500 kacklewagens, renault dauphine?, an original Datsun Bluebird, Holden with a yellow Alfa sports, some yank tanks outside the Caravelle, with a Holden Brougham in the background,

Mighty Mustang Fastback, something that resembles a Ford Consul or Zephyr, Jeep or International troop carrier, Pontiac GTO ? on the back of a tow truck and a nice little Kharman Ghia.

I was always amazed at how some of the cars got there..

The last photo shows two trucks of a convoy of South Vietnam soldiers (ARVN) heading out of town.

Hi everyone, as the title suggests, I have negotiated to buy a watch from a seller in Randwick. He however only wants to deal in cash in person. Won't accept paypal, eft, cod, etc...

I was hoping that someone is able to go and pick it up and give him the cash, its only $100, & i will reimburse them asap. So its to pick up the watch, pay the seller and ship the watch off to me in Gold Coast. Please PM if anyone is able to assist. Thanks, Sohan

So my daughter is getting married in September and has asked for my help in sourcing cars (because I own a PORSCHE, I therefore know everyone with a nice car apparently)

What she is after is old Rolls Royce's or Jaguars or Mercedes etc. If you know anyone or have any leads please post here.

	Thanks for your help

I've been looking a little while for a car to use at Club Sprints and Hill climbs. Without being able to insure the Porsche for the track and not having raced before I wanted something cheaper to take out first.

Prerequisites were it needed to be a two seater with good power to begin with and easily modified for more. It also needed to be pre 1993 so that it can go on club plates. With all that in mind, I narrowed my search to the hardtop Gen 2 MR2 Turbo.

End result is I bought this 1992 JDM (turbo MR2's were not imported by Toyota) SW20 in Queensland last Friday. I tested it out by driving it over 1900km back home via the furnace that is inland NSW! Kidneys got a workout on the bumpy roads with stiff suspension as did the air conditioner with the temps being in the 40's!

Some modifications have been already made ( Link plug in ECU running 14 psi. Tein coilovers, front Wilwood brakes, gfb blow off valve and 3"turboback exhaust ) which has the car comfortably putting out 234 hp at the rear wheels.

I had originally planned to strip the car I bought out and fit a half cage, race seat etc But as it is such a very clean unmolested example I will leave much as it is. Biggest tweaking will be the suspension and wider rubber with a track focus in mind. If I get the racing bug bad I will then consider a race only car!

Had a ball there, although it was a tad hot......

There was no shortage of Aussie Flags, 4WD's and V8 Utes. Plus it was the B&S ball to be held on the Saturday Night.

Well Done COROWA, not a protester to be seen...

I see a few of these info labels for the windscreen being sold. Inspired by the fear people have of forgetting to renew rego on time.

If you create and account with service nsw they txt you in advance with reminders repeated. Also enables you to renew online.

Just picked up this 2 owner totally unrestored factory original 75 Falcon GS 351.

All original - everywhere, 99% rust free. Its had a paint touch up on one rear guard, but thats it - Paint is amazing for a 42 year old car - especially one of these!

The 351/5.8 litre motor has never been out of the car - it still has its original fuel pump!

Owning another one of these after 25 years, is a real trip down memory lane & I think they are very nice to look at too.

I thought I'd start this for all of us to 'say thanks' to those PFA members that go out of their way to assist others on this forum. Whether it be having a look at a car or some parts, picking something up on our behalf, or just general advice via PM etc

I'd like to start by saying a massive thanks to Dave (Hughesy) for his assistance with the steering wheel today with calling the seller and organising collection. Many thanks fella, it is VERY much appreciated. I'd also like to thank the other guys that had offered to do the same on my behalf. It means more than you can imagine to have like minded people offering some help.

JNR356 (Mark) for all of his extremely experienced advice over the years. If you want the RIGHT advice, contact him first and listen to what he has to say, as he has been there, done that.

There is a few others in the past who have offered their experienced advice, and all of you have been amazing in one way or another, and put a smile on my face
