<p>
	 Wanting to eliminate a potential (or current) problem, I'm probably bets off buying a new fuel pump. Having had what I thought/is a relay problem, my pump seems to have started to get a little noisy lately with a 'whirring' noise that i haven't heard before. During my trip to Victoria, it was fine over 2600 rpm at 100-110kph, yet when crawling in 3rd gear at 50 or 60kph through towns, the engine was running 'fluffy' and/or possibly starving for fuel and I thought it may stall if I stopped. Lean or rich do you think? I'll drive it tomorrow (today) and see how it goes, yet has anyone else had this before? It's always run very well with no hiccups, but its either the pump or what I can only explain here as it feeling like a plug is fowling or breaking down
</p>

<p>
	 Anyway...who or where can I source the correct fuel pump without getting extorted with the Porsche tax?
</p>

<p>
	I am about to take delivery of a Bendpak four post car hoist and wondering if anyone else out there has installed this brand.
</p>

<p>
	The Bendpak unit incorporates locking pins as a safety feature that need to be disengaged prior to lowering the lift.  You would think the hydraulics would assist in disengaging these pins but apparently it needs an air supply (30PSI) to do the job.  I don't want a whopping air compressor hanging off the hoist, wondering if anyone has installed one and come up with a better workable solution?  The supplier told me the manufacturers concept is no good as it leaks <img alt=":blink:" data-emoticon="" src="//content.invisioncic.com/o114742/emoticons/default_blink.png" title=":blink:" /></p>

<p>
	At this point in time, I'm considering a very small air brush compressor that I'm hoping will do the job.

<p>Living on the wrong side of the harbour (inner west) I have been in search of a specialist Porsche workshop that is more local and one that offers a bit more of a personalized service. Today I finally got around to dropping in to Cavaco Motors in Glebe. I have heard good things about Cavaco but never dropped in there to talk P-cars. Dave and his father (Carlos) are absolutely passionate about air cooled 911's and they have an amazing knowledge of these cars. Carlos drives a very cool SC. They have some very tasty work going on there at the moment and it was great to see a complete restoration of a 70 something 911S and a complete engine re-built for a gorgeous Aust delivered 930 (I wonder if these owners are on PFA?). I was at Cavaco to talk all things 964 and was blown away by Dave's knowledge. They are very much P-car purists. My 964 is booked in for a complete brake upgrade and some suspension work. So if you are looking for a workshop to take care of your air cooled P-car and you live on the wrong side of the harbour it might be worth your while checking out Cavaco.   </p>

<p>
	I'm paranoid about my '88 911 catching fire, heard too many horror stories and my first car caught fire while I was driving it. An extinguisher seems like cheap insurance. When I lived in the US I had a small Halotron extinguisher from H3R (<a href="https://www.h3rperformance.com/" rel="external nofollow">https://www.h3rperformance.com/</a>) which I kept in the car. But when I moved to Oz I figured it wouldn't be ok to ship it, so I left it behind. Now I'm finding it hard to find a replacement here. I've found two full-service fire equipment suppliers who sell Amerex Halotron extinguishers, but I'm not sure they supply the public. Isn't there someplace I can order one online here? Presumably folks who race have to have one in the car.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance!
