Looking for a 996.1 GT3 or 997.1 Turbo

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum. I'm looking for 996 Mk1 GT3, preferably clubsport but that's not essential. Obviously Km's as low as I can get. I'm looking for something that I can enjoy occasionally on weekends - I don't want to put too many km's on it as I'd like it to hold it's value or hopefully appreciate i.e. it's an investment car as much (or more) as it is something to have fun in.

Have had a bit of a look on Carsales but there doesn't seem to be anything outstanding on there at the moment. It was suggested to me that anything decent is likely to either never get there, or go very quickly so I thought I'd throw a message out here on the off chance that someone is aware of one out in the market.

I'd also consider a 997 Mk1 turbo - but would prefer the GT3.

Look forward to hearing any bright ideas or interesting leads.

PFA has been very slow to load of late, both on my PC and mobile (much worse on my mobile and most times will not load).

Is there a known issue? Others having similar problems?

Hi mod squad. What do you (and the forum members for that matter) think about a technical info archive? Maybe even incorporated into the existing categories'.

A place where people can;

upload documents containing technical information. Manuals, parts lists, troubleshooting guides, etc.
post, by means of a simple template, about a problem they had, and how it was resolved.

Is anybody else having problems connecting to the PFA server.

I haven't been able to connect to the site since last week it keeps timing out.

I have contacted my IT department and they inform me the problem is not our end.

Can we get a GT car section on the forum?

I know Steve F mentioned it back in April, but I thought I read somewhere lately on the forum

that Financial Members are able to remove a post that they have put up themselves without having to call in the mods.

Is that correct and if so how do you do it?

Since the upgrade to PFA.gov I can not "view new content"

I have searched the issue and it seems others have had this problem in the past?

Chrome nor firefox works. I have 3 computers and a phone. None of them will display "new content"?

Any ideas?

Is anyone else have issue with login requests? I am finding the site on iphone and computer keeps logging me out and I have to resubmit my password within the same session. Also when starting a session.

I've bought a set of driving sneakers after reading about them on a US Porsche forum. I found the Aussie distributor, and learned that the company was on the fringe of receivership a short while back. They sold me the sneakers (called "Prototipo" appropriately) and I gave them the PFA site details to contact, as I thought a few of us here may like them.

I left a message using the "contact us" form a couple of days ago and got nothing back apart from the automated reply. Who should these guys contact is they want to advertise?.

Full disclosure: I'm getting nothing from this, just passing on the word for a good product.

Hi all,

I went out and got myself an iPad a month or so ago and the only thing I don't like about it is PFA is a pain to use on it. Every time I navigate to the forum I have to scroll to the bottom of the page and change the theme or select Use Mobile Version. I know I am about the only person who uses the PorscheForum theme but it isn't formatted for the iPad. The Porsche Forum Australia theme appears ok but I don't like it at all. Interested to hear what others are doing/using to get their PFA fix.

Hi.

I've been around your great forum now for while and really have to shout out a big thanks.

I have a request.

Would it be possible to create a "registry" sticky thread at the top of each sub group (water cooled, air cooled etc) which can categorize the forum members by model owned? (eg. 997.1 Targa 4S 2007 Tip)

This would be really great so as to be able to direct specific ownership queries to similar model owners.

I have seen this in another brand's ownership forum and it works really well.
