Hey guys,

I have been following a thread on the Z car forum where all the guys have been driving the same 240z around Bathurst.

I was thinking we should be doing something similar on here, so I am thinking the 911R around Bathurst. Bathurst, particularly over the top is a track to sort out the men from the boys so lets see some times.

Hey there fellow gamers and PFAers. I’ve been pondering the idea of running or assisting in running a race night using Assetto Corsa for PC, racing the 1974 RSR at Riverside Raceway. The RSR is part of AC and some clever person has converted Riverside to work with AC. Nothing too serious, short 5 lap races, hacks and seasoned sim races allowed, drinking encouraged. I can run a private server but might be limited by how many users I can run due to the crazy path my internet takes between my machine and router. I’ve successfully hosted 6 players but I might be able to set up a dedicated server for the event if we get larger numbers. Anyway EOI for now to gauge how many would be interested.

I have a HTC Vive and enjoy the occasional outing with Assetto Corsa. ( in VR).

l know a few PFA'ers enjoy iRacing and rFactor.

The next releases of Project Cars 2 will have a DLC with some classic porsches.

Hey guys,

Had a play on a really cool simulator recently ($30K worth so I'm told)

Great fun but if i wanted to get one where do I start?

I'd like something with a wheel / pedals that I can add audio enhancements to at a laster stage

In a perfect world I'd like to drive some of the Australian circuits in a GT3 if possible.

Whats the entry level ?

PS3 / xbox / PC / Mac

I have a Mac which i'd be happy to use...

Hi all,

Thought this may be of some interests to fellow gamers and Porsche fans. I am big fan of racing sims and more frequently on the Simraceway league.

RFactor is a racing sim that has been around for years with some really great mods/addons. It's PC based and you need a good steering wheel. I have a Logitech G27.

The GT Historics mod has great selection of 911's from the great 70's era not to mention all other makes. There are also heaps of tracks to download - Spa and Bathurst being my fav.

These sound amazing and are real fun to drive. Graphics are real good with car details pretty accurate

Regards,

Greg.

Friends,

If all you want to do is drive a 911 around the greatest racetrack in the world (The Green Hell), and test your H pattern/heel and toeing techniques, not to mention forge new depths of self condemning verbal expletives, then this is for you!

There are now far fewer reasons to blame dodgy virtual driving skills on the UI, or the pimply faced geeks writing the code! The physics of the track are par excellence, far above any other versions I've driven, and the car (Yellowbird - bog standard) handles beautifully (if somewhat cantankerously) most of the time! The graphics have taken a significant lift as well with apparently all of the "signpost/graffiti/ads" that real drivers use to navigate their apexs and braking points etc, now visible.

In a nutshell - the upgrade pack @ around $20AUD is worth every cent! (Assetto Corsa at around $60?)

No-one ever said it was going to be easy to get that car around that track, but someone has to try, many times, and simply put...

ITS. ACE.
