  2. Hi everyone, I need some advice on the safest jacking point underneath the car, using a trolley jack, to lift the rear of the car, to allow for jackstands at the rear jacking points. I would appreciate all advice, kind regards Norman

  4. Hahaha. Wait till you see some BBS wheels and an RS wing. I feel like Ernest Shackleton, a real pioneer!
  5. Geez look at this guy go! Call yourself a tuner in no time! Next it’ll be wheels and tyres, steering wheel, tinted tail lights front and rear, pioneer head unit the list goes on. Who would have thought going from a Cayman to a 996 would be so much fun! Good work Magnus!
  6. Hi, I'm new to QLD. I'd like to be in 'the loop' please for future drives.
  7. Hi, I'm looking for a club to join in Queensland. Partly for drives and events, but also to assist with getting club rego for my car. Aside from Porsche Club QLD, are there other Queensland clubs that you recommend? I may still choose PCQLD, but I wanted to reach out for other ideas before committing. Thanks.
  8. In buying a car, email Vin Check vincheck@porsche.com.au ,and then get a PPI. You would not know how good it is, without a PPI of it.
  9. I've got a set of M&M same as Fab Speed headers
  10. Even if you're not a fan of 996 GT3's, everyone's a fan of an RS. Combine that wirh the dollar. I've been holding put for US parts, but it's not getting any better.
  11. Vin No, Service records, Receipts of work done, Authentication by owner and or previous owners, Then a PPI by a reputable Porsche Dealership. Then if it comes up the good's talk price.
  12. Looking to buy a 911 and want to make sure I get an authentic car with a known history. Is there a Porsche Registry that you can look into history or will dealers confirm information from the service records. How are people verifying cars these days.
  13. Does anyone have a spare exhaust/headers/cats / anything similar for a 996.2 gt3 laying about? I am looking at the fabspeed but US shipping may be a killer.
  14. From Collecting Cars info: A right-hand-drive, Thailand-delivery car, this 911 Turbo was manufactured in January 1996, and is reported to have formed part of the Sultan of Brunei’s collection. It was later exported to the UK and became part of The Bonkers Collection, where it was re-registered in December 2015.

  16. Guessing you've then seen the power plug at the motor itself. Unplug it my friend
  17. Does anyone know what the black plastic air scoop is called that comes up with the electric tail? mines split down the middle and needs relacing, but i need to know what its called before a can hunt one down, probably
  18. Dragging up an old subject but 981 interest still seems reasonably high, seemingly like resale values ! I’ve read the whole thread and pricing hasn’t fallen significantly from back on page 1 but I’ve driven a new 718 so can understand the aural dissatisfaction. I was contemplating getting one of the last ones but have now pivoted and going down the 981 route. Slim pickings on exactly what I’d like but I guess it’s not easy when the cars are 9 to 12 years old. Are carsales.com.au pricing. Anyone want to comment on what is a reasonable range for Base and S Boxsters in today’s environment ? Thanks in advance.
  19. If you are worried it will seize and cause a short circuit, just unplug it. I can’t recall what type of electrical plug is on the power supply lead so suggest you tape it up if there is chance it can short on anything nearby.
  20. I was 21 when I bought my first Porsche, I couldn’t afford it then and not much has changed since, as I can barely afford them now………….you’ll never have enough money! The saving grace is that if you buy well you may not suffer the same level of depreciation as most other makes.
  21. Hi Tom, sorry for the slow response, yes I need the set. I’m going to sell the 930 shortly, & it has no rear belts, may I ask how much?
