  3. i look at it from the following view point the 3rd Industrial Revolution was in 1969, the 4th Industrial Revolution ocurred in 2000. We are now well and truly ripe for the sequence of the 5th Industrial Revolution and this one may far outweigh the previous 4, it may actually have the largest impact on humanity. From Electric Vehicles, Clean Energy Supply, Digital Currencies, Digital ID’s, New Age Banking, Cashless Societies etc etc the changes are all coming. all industrial revolutions have had their positive impacts but it has taken extensive time for humanity to realise the benefits. As difficult as EV’s maybe to embrace right now for most of us, the change is well and truly on and EU governments are somewhat taking a stand when it comes to the automobile. 2025 Porsche Boxster 983 EV
  4. Goose never saw it coming.
  5. Yeah. Assuming a metzger is tracked for 100, max 130 hours it will need a refresh. At av 150kmh that’s 15000 to 19500 km before the risk will cost way more than the preventative rebuild if it goes wrong. Just saying….. porsche engines are really good, that good they last that long. Beyond that one may be optimistic based on my ownership, and tracking them, rebuilding them and research.
  6. After visiting the Concours Club in Miami, it is about time we saw this sort of facility in Aus. That said, if the membership is anything like the Concours Club, membership will be only available for those with VERY deep pockets.
  7. Image we could import cars as easily as in new zealand 997.1.5 turbo (mezger engine, but 997.2 interior etc) https://autotrader.co.nz/used-cars-for-sale/porsche/911/630091
  8. I believe half of those 17.5K are track km. Nothing for these cars if maintained properly but not the virgin some would assume it to be with such low km.
  9. No way, that makes too much sense
  10. Phew, dodged that bullet, copped a little shrapnel. Glad wasn’t worse.
  11. My bet is that this one will end up being a nuclear power plant considering all the infrastructure is already in place...

Road kill at 200kph. Hit a pesky Cape Barren Goose at the end of the PI main straight at 200kph! I count my lucky stars because the damage could have been a whole lot worse. As it turned out it's mostly cosmetic. No damage to radiators, etc. Whew! Boof Road Kill.mov
  13. Is this the one previously reported to have a poor over revs report?
  14. I think somebody got a cracker of car! Just not as good as a 997.2 GT3 😛
  15. Amazing spec guys! Did your dealers advise you when should you expect delivery? Im guessing it's around 2 months + from when the car left port?
  16. Does a Spyder RS count? Our cars could be boat buddies Nik!
  17. Yes Pete the whole greeny thing has got a long way to go before we will be able to rely on renewable engery.
  18. Picked up a big chip yesterday. Called Shannons today to take up the free windshield replacement service, although I had to convince the rep I didn't need to pay an excess. They are giving me two options for my 1969 911: New seal + Porsche genuine clear glass - but it comes with a rear view mirror mount already attached. Not available in green tint. New seal + aftermarket green tint glass. They will remove and remount the existing rear view mirror. Neither is a perfect option.

  20. Fantastic!!! Replacing one source of air pollution with another 🙂 At least they're talking about replacing an old coal fired power station with a solar panel factory I see.......
  21. You can do it yourself if you're keen, its not super difficult as the auto transmission is exactly the same as the manual. All of those automated single clutch manuals that were made during that period can be converted to manual provided someone has 3d printed or machined the parts to make it look factory.
  22. That direct from the owner in the comments section
