Kerry Posted 22July, 2019 Report Share Posted 22July, 2019 Hi All. Looking for expressions of interest in participating in our next social hillclimb day down at Haunted Hills' Bryant Park on Sunday 20th October 2019. We intentionally refer to these events as "social" because there is no timing, or pressure to drive beyond one's own abilities. We welcome drivers who may not have driven in any kind of track/circuit event before, and are interested to experience what their cars can do in a safe environment. When we take lap times out of the equation, the conversation and socialising becomes far more relaxed and non-competitive. As per the first 2 events, many of us will be going on the Saturday afternoon, dining together, and then retiring to the local motel before meeting for the driver briefing at 8am the next morning. When: Sunday 20th October (compulsory driver briefing 8am, 4pm finish at latest) Where: John Bryant Park, Haunted Hills, Yallourn. (click this link to see the track) Who: PFA Financial Members (if you're not a FM, it's $25 p.a.) Cost: $190 full day (breakfast, coffee and lunch are available on-site, at very reasonable prices) If this is of interest to you, please register your interest as a post below, or if you're definitely in, fill in the online form to confirm your spot - we are looking for a minimum of 20 drivers, so tell a PFA FM friend! FORM TO REGISTER FOR THE DAY If you have any questions about the event, or how the day is run, don't hesitate to PM me to ask and discuss... [PM: Kerry] If you're interested in being involved, but not driving, we are looking for people to assist with scrutineering, marshalling, and a recovery vehicle and driver... no previous experience is required, please PM me if you're interested in helping out. As for passengers, there will be some accommodation for them but yet to be exactly worked out. Both previous HHs we’ve had limited passenger runs, usually around lunchtime. 8 hours ago, Rod C said: Also avaiable to help with anything Kerry too. Cheers @Rod C, I’ll gather together those who want to help out closer to the day but be mindful that everyone still gets plenty of driving! 😉👊🏻 twro

Kerry Posted 11August, 2019 Author Report Share Posted 11August, 2019 4 hours ago, romeodelta said: Newbie interested. Are helmets available to hire or is it BYO? Welcome romeodelta. The answer is that there aren't any helmets available to hire down at HH. I have known of people hiring helmets from Motorcycle shop in the city I think, but borrowing a friends is probs the easiest way to circumnavigate the outlay. Having said that.... and acknowledging that they ain't cheap... buying your own will become a reality once you've driven your pcar at HH anyway 🙄😉. You just can't put that genie back in it's bottle. Whether it's there, or up at a city trackday... once bitten 🤷♂️ 🏴 So if we include those who have nominated as "interested", all converting 🔥🍻🤞that gives us the minimum of 20 drivers required to host the day 😎 Can I ask those who are definitely coming to fill in the form here at your earliest? GUT Posted 12August, 2019 Report Share Posted 12August, 2019 I can’t make this one unfortunately. It’s great fun - if you’re pondering whether or not, just do it. Kerry
