Definitely a different car, since I bought the Shannon's one. It's undergoing a freshen up now, so to speak. Will start another thread when I get time.

I’ll likely get slammed for this but I think Prototipo’s have been done to death. There are lots of other period correct options out there from Momo and other brands.

Here is another option for those looking at Matt’s car and thinking about engines.  I’m selling a 71 911T targa (clothed as an 80’s hot rod) with a 2.7 in it.  The car is running and registered and you can thus test drive the motor before sale. Cavaco’s have recently done a bunch of service and tuning work on it, plus checked and tensioned the headstuds and run a compression check.  Looking for mid 40’s for the car, which you could part out after removing the 2.7, clutch, flywheel and exhaust (and any other little bits you need) - leaving you with an early targa chassis to restore (or sell on) and lots of other parts to sell (wheels, brakes, suspension, cool seats, prototipo wheel, gauges, fuel tank etc etc). Please PM for details.
Ps. I asked Matt before posting and he was cool with me adding this to his thread.

Hi All, selling my 911, listed here first in the hope it goes to a red blooded enthusiast as I’ve spent a lot on this car.
    Porsche 911 1988 3.2 Carrera G50 RHD
    Factory RHD (UK delivered)
Wide body all steel guards completed by coach builder, so not a factory M491, but very well done (have documentation)
Delivery Books and loads of receipts
3.2 Engine completely rebuild, not a top end refresh, but a complete case split, new pistons, barrels bearings, chains, studs etc, only regular maintenance for the next 200k kms is what I would expect. Engine is literally 2500kms old now and uses no oil, no smoke, runs very well. Didn’t need the rebuild either, but the common oil leaks were what prompted me.
Matching engine and gearbox to car
Factory guards red and bone leather, never seen another like, factory sport seat option
Almost the whole catalogue of elephant racing suspension has been thrown at this car, and it handles exceptionally without being harsh or rattly, think 964 adjustable coilovers
Wheels are US built Fikse fuchs which I believe are now licensed exclusively to Singer, when I last priced these 4 years ago it was about $10-12k to land these here.
Repainted about 4 years ago, not that it needed it, (but did have cat claw marks over most of the car) it really shines, no dents or rust (been in Aus for quite a long time)
I also have all the genuine bits for the A/C which will sell with the car, also the original Blaupunkt radio, tools, books, original muffler etc
Also I have a set of genuine Fuchs that will also go with the car if you want that stock look (16x7 and 16x8) these alone are $3000-$4000k
Car sounds and drives great, if your looking for something that doesn’t leak oil, blow smoke, or is moments away for a wallet ripping engine refresh, then this is a 911 you may want to consider
    $115k
    Located in Sydney NSW

Very high on my list of what I would love to buy. Just wish there was a bit more space and money in the bank. That car ticks all the right boxes and has been a want for a very long time....

I think he means it has to have already been converted to RHD
RHD Targa’s didn’t start until 1973 model year.

    Thanks Craig and Ryan.
Here is the car before the GT upgrade, you can see how clean it was with bumpers removed. The underside and under guard area was the same.
This pic was when the steel flares were being mocked up before welding and shows the 275 Michelins on 9in rims fitting nicely.
The car would look great with big fat wheels and tyres like this.

This was my 914 before Matt started his conversion, was definitely one of the best if not the best 914/4 to start as a basis for the build.
GLWS Matt, sorry that I won’t see it finished by you in your high-standard fashion.
