No you were clear it all makes sense . I think Richmond's were trying it on with that price .

I think the factors influencing the GT3 market are inline with housing, there's a slowing and the psychology is shifting meaning buyers have expectations of a cheaper entry point. If people need to sell to get out of the market then this may/will occur. I think what needs to be reiterated here is that the Mezger 997 GT3 in 4.0 3.8 3.6 versions are very highly regarded worldwide. If price is your concern then over the medium to long term these models will perform very well. The 997 GT3 4.0, 3.8 and 3.6 in that order are the beach front, water view cars of the property market and yes they are not immune and will decrease in value in a downturn no question, but let me tell you no where near as much as some of the other plan jane versions of the 911 that have seen dramatic increases in value over the last few years. If my thinking is correct these plain jane cars may not see these values again for a very long time into the future if ever.
The market has spoken already spoken to the future pricing trend for the 991.1GT3 for reasons that we have all discussed on this forum, for this reason I would not align a 997 with a 991, and I think time will reflect this.

Bargains but that said 15k goes. nowhere on a car not up to scratch , mines Been in full brakes , fluid , gearbox fluids , full service .. etc will top 6-10 k before I’m done and when u look at sticky buttons , painting centre  consoles ,door kicks , wraps , spliters etc ., which are the regular tidy ups on these things ,   I still reckon  they are 199-215k cars if all sorted .. most cars also have out of date belts , extinguishers , will probably need 2k of rubber .   Mr Black , Red and Lapis are all great lookers ..

***More pictures to come this weekend inc. interior***
**I may actually also do a video tour of the car to help out potential interstate buyers**
    Hi everyone,
I've decided I should probably stop having too many cars & start saving for a house so the 944 really needs to go.
I bought the car around two years ago from it's original owner. Yep - a genuine one owner car for 33 years!
Manual gearbox & manual steering rack. Power sunroof.
The 15" Fuchs are original to the car and listed on the options sticker in the boot.
The timing belt/seals/etc were all done in late 2017. Many gaskets and all of the coolant hoses & vacuum lines are new. Genuine Beru ignition leads and a new Bosch coil. Every single electrical relay has been replaced with new genuine parts to make everything work reliably. Both crank angle sensors are new genuine Bosch parts.
The clutch has been replaced with a spring centre unit a few thousand KM ago.
There's a brand new hatch seal and the tail lights have been properly resealed with the original black tar gunk.
The body is very nice and the paint looks great; but there are a couple of tiny nicks around it and it needs a new rear bumper cover as it's had a bit of a knock at some stage. It's a stunner of a car from any angle though.
Interior is less great but completely usable. Chocolate over beige-ish colour combo. Dash has the usual fleet of cracks. Carpets would benefit from a good clean(but the new, matching, fitted floor mats are in perfect shape). Driver's seat fabric is separating from the bolsters on the lower squab - other seats are perfect.
Most of the lights and switches work. The odometer works. Windows are quite fast and enthusiastic- no problems there.
    Air conditioning works well, surprisingly.
The tyres have plenty of tread. The battery is new. There's even a spare DME relay in the glovebox. It's pretty much a turn-key-and-go car at this stage!
I have a Dansk stainless steel sports exhaust - brand new - which has never been fitted which I'll include with the car if the buyer wants it. Apparently they sound amazing but I just wasn't motivated enough to bother putting it on(maybe I'm just getting old).
Fully registered in NSW until November. Plates are currently "16BIT", I'll probably leave those on there.
    Located in the Illawarra area.
All things being considered I'm inclined to ask $15,000 for it.
Will be up on Carsales soon but figured I'd offer it here first.
    Any questions, ask away!

The offer of storage in the garage still holds, as long as you leave the keys, I’ve moved the tractors to the barn in preparation! Seriously GLWS.

The tangerine car in the photo is @Gavin (CliffToCoast) you'd have to make him a serious offer I'd imagine, its a rather cool, unique car.
I kind of hope it doesn't sell, but I am putting it out to the market to decide.

Good luck mate. If anyone is serious about buying a non CS GT3, this is the one. The price is too good to pass up. I would so love to add this to mine.

Mr Lapis finally makes an appearance!  Hats off to you for the ballsy move on a very realistic asking price.
If I had the $$'s I'd buy yours and the blue Mk1 in WA, and have three blue GT3s.  X-lotto ticket for tonight please......

You’re right, everyone wants a bargain... and I’m doubtful anyone is realistic enough to buy it and enjoy as is, even at that $$! They want your car for my money 😂

Awesome add, I’ve had plenty of offers on mine in the high $100’s so they are out there. Most don’t want the yellow.
They’ll still probably offer you $130k haha.
