”I’m not a good driver control”. Gold.
This guy is in love.  Almost thought I should look away toward the end of the video as his reaction to taking it toward the red line started to depart from being a car guy video and head solidly in the direction of reaction to more adult entertainment ...

The likes of these will never be repeated ~ they were the last local delivered RHD road registrable Porsche Competition cars.

I‘m even going to refit the air conditioning in mine ...

Just a tip - and it’s one we all made as rookies - don’t keep a spreadsheet!
Not only will it become a trigger for negative reflection ... it’s evidence and displaces the plausible deniability that would otherwise be available to you ...

Veblen effect... Exactly..... perceived future price driving demand... The reason most air cooled 911s and old rolex' go stratospheric. More commonly known as FOMO...

My old man and his brother used to sell apples out of the back of their utes, picked/bought from the same orchard in the hills of Perth. They parked both vehicles on the same street out front of their house (opposite sides) one had a for sale sign $2.00 a bucket and the other $2.50 a bucket ....guess which sold out first?

I’m a frequent flyer in this space ...
I endorse all of the above.
What I generally do is a deal with a workshop I know and respect  in whatever state the car is in to take possession of the car once all things mentioned above have been done.
Part of the deal deal is that once I have transferred the money the workshop then gets an email and call  from the seller that they can release the car to me.
That said, the deal I did with Gavin Cliff to Coast was on trust and we exchanged cars in Holbrook (it was a swap so we each had security!).
There’s always an element of trust.  Building a relationship is the key.
If it feels wrong - walk away.
I know in COVIDworld that’s all likely to be different.
