You guys are mad !!   What a work of art.  Tasteful, subtle, sublime..... it's a technical tour de force.  All the grace of a Rolls & all the power of a Holden 202 auto.  Plus with GM just announcing Holden's demise the value of this Mona Lisa (Moaning Lisa) will absolutely skyrocket.  I for one am ready to start the bidding well above the sellers paltry reserve.  I'm going to add this investment to my Super Portfolio along with my Nokia & Kodak stocks.  So long suckers, this'll be bigger than Bitcoin.........

Yes, I'd like to Brian but I don't feel like I've poured enough money into it yet to achieve a truly diminished return.  If the right buyer came along....wellllllll......until that time I'll keep loving it.

I FUCKING LOVED GYRUSS.  I fed enough 20 cent pieces to cover a 1970's mortgage into the Gyruss machine at the Belara Prawn Co-Op on Bribie Island in the early Eighties.  I was the King of that Bitch & all that dared play me where my vassals (least that's how it felt at the time till the teenagers came & pushed me off - then I just cried).

Big improvement visually. Don't envy the required mechanical work though.

    Hey all,
After deliberating about moving this car on for the last few months, I've finally taken the plunge and listed it for sale. Sad to see it go but need to focus on a few other projects in 2020. It's been a great car to me over the last couple years, and hope it goes to a good home. Below is the listing I've written for CarSales, feel free to ask me any additional questions if you're interested in the car.
This 1977 Porsche 911S is a great example of classic ‘70s Porsche design. While most “mid-year” 911s have been cut up and modified, this car still retains its original engine, gearbox, “narrow-body” and beautiful red interior. If you’re looking for an unmolested classic 911, look no further than this one.
This car was originally delivered to Japan in 1977, and was imported to Australia in 2009. It still remains in its original LHD configuration, complete with matching-numbers, Fuchs and its original Grand Prix White/Lobster Red combination.
It’s travelled less than 20,000km over the last decade and the odometer now sits at 160,000km. The engine is still strong with healthy compression, while the 2nd gear synchro is a bit lazy. Always starts and drives perfectly and shifts fine when driven sensibly.
The exterior is in good condition, some blemishes but no signs of rust or damage. The interior is in immaculate condition, with the MOMO Prototipo steering wheel and modern Porsche stereo (original radio included) tastefully complementing the classic design.
Aside from servicing, the previous owner had the following work done:
    - New stainless headers
    - 930 rocker covers, ball joints and tie rod ends
    - Air-con delete
I have completed the following maintenance within the last 250km:
    - Intermediate service by a Porsche specialist
    - New Michelin tyres and wheel alignment
    - Brake fluid change
    - New  genuine Porsche washer pump
    - Professional detailing
The car is now ready to be enjoyed by a new owner. I’ll be sad to see it go but circumstances have changed and I can no longer keep it. It’s currently on non-transferable club registration and should have no problem obtaining a RWC.
Priced to sell at $69,990, it’s currently the cheapest air-cooled 911 coupe with matching numbers on the market. Please feel free to contact me via PM for any additional questions or to arrange a time to view the car in Melbourne.

@CarreraG50 you can use your POQ plates on club rego. At least you could in the past

Jason E reacted to 901er in Qld rego? Club Rego - is anyone using this?
I have club rego in Qld. I have my normal personalised plates, I think rego is about $200 per year for a 6 Cyl. You’re  meant to only drive to and from club events, club cruise, to a mechanic or too give the car a run to charge the battery etc.
I do the last one a lot 😂

Jason E reacted to Dreamr in Qld rego? Club Rego - is anyone using this?
So after a bit of googling, we used to / still have the same rego conditions but 3 - 4 years ago, NSW introduced historic rego which gives 60 days of any type of usage as well as club runs on top of 60 days ... it is to encourage classic cars out of the garage ... it was set for a trial only but it's still going ... 😃
You still have to be a member of a club but it's not restricted to runs only ... it's $44 per year for rego and CTP + the cost of car club ...

Sucks that you got burnt.  Have you thought about using a payment system like PayPal?   That way you have a fallback if you get scammed.  Certainly this is what I do when buying or selling predominately.  Certainly when selling I have a bank account with nothing in it that I can give the details out for deposits but they can get nothing from as it never has anything in it.  Hope the Police find old mate.

Yeah ... @Jason E is correct about Paypal ... if you pay for goods through them they basically guarantee the transaction .
I generally always pay money this way to strangers so this doesn't happen ... of course there's always an exception but you do what you can to limit it ...
Sorry this happened to you ... 😪

Jason E reacted to Philbee in Qld rego? Club Rego - is anyone using this?
In Vic, definitely worth it, beats paying $800 reg every yr. my permit is about $70/yr and car club mship varies... just pick a cheap one if $ is tight. Doesn’t have to be porsche club.
There’s a bit  of paperwork to do each time you pay your permit annually  but you get used to it.
I bought mine so saved a heap on stamp duty too!
