Consider becoming a financial member.   The $25 pays for itself a thousand times over in information,  assistance & humour (at least in my case it's saved me thousands).  Plus it contributes to keeping this resource up & running. Cheers Jason.

Damn - they got there first - I was going to say "Don't let her in then you won't have to pry her out".  But it'd be superfluous now so I won't say anything.....oh wait.......

But if nobody pays, there would be no forum anyway!!!  As has been mentioned, $25 is a small price to pay for the info and cameraderie of this forum - hell, I've even spent a few hours helping plan a flying tour of Tassie and offered a few night's accommodation for someone I've never even met apart from on this forum!!!!  Very happy to do this for the fun and enjoyment of our cars 🙂

Totally agree with your comments above ... it was nothing at all personal against @P-Kay ... I just personally don't see the need for it .. or at the very least to be suggested in a more "welcoming way"

    Ladies and gents.
It was a new member who was not aware of how it works here and has been advised, so all is now good.
In the past, we have had people join the forum solely for their own gain, a.k.a flippers, private sellers and business owners selling cars and parts without any contribution to the forum community, and when they are asked to contribute just $25/year to sell whatever they want, they aren't too happy about it and we never see them again. Some do slip through the cracks, yet eventually they are advised of the forum sales guidelines and some do cough up the cash and some don't, yet I'm sure the post by @Bobby44 was not intended as a subtle sale ad, but asking for some genuine advice from those (you) who have experience with these cars. Regardless, he has been advised by myself and we can move on 👍

I shall add that if you do see posts by new members asking for values or "I'm selling my car in a couple of weeks time..." send myself or any other moderator a private message or just press the 'report' button and we'll sort it out. That way noone is offended in public, and we will contact the poster privately

I hear you brother however there's only so much hair you can lose & arteries you can harden worrying about the arseholery of the world & it's nefarious denizens.  Let the Insurers do their job & just get out & drive with the wind in your luxurious bouffant, eating Pork scratchings ('cause you can).

All this should be handled by your Insurance company & completely out of your hands I would think.  You simply give the other driver your details & Insurance details & let your Insurance company work out if they want to challenge the other driver/ insurance company's version of events or repair estimates.
Other than the, "they're being Arseholes" factor what do you care?  They can claim a million bucks - it's up to your insurer now.
That's what you pay the expensive yearly premium for.  "I've had an accident, it was my fault, please fix my car & their car (preferably in that order).  Thank you very much"".  Unless I'm missing something.

I agree with Jason E.  Why are you worried about it.  You have lodged a claim.  There is no extra cost to you.  A claim is a claim and the insurance company do all the work, that is why you take out the cover.  You are at fault so pay the excess and move on. If your insurance doesn't challenge it then so be it.  I presume that as you have lodged a claim then you are having your car assessed too.  Even though you think that there is no damage to your car there is sometimes damage behind the bumper that you cannot see.  This could be the case with the other car too and it does not take much to add up to $2000.  15 kph is enough to do a bit of damage.

That is doable if there is interest. Otherwise my next 'open house' meet is in August 2020.
Depends if you want an original board set or an emulated one. Here is a brand new 60 in 1 that has gyruss on it.
https://www.amdcoinop.com/cocktail-table .... $1600, and AMD are reputable, a lot of other places aren't.
However @WOKA is better on the arcade front than me. Best to get his opinion.

I recently purchased a 2 owner 2009 VW Golf GTI with 80klms as an auto daily.  It is outstanding for the money paid (11,500).  Heaps of go, brilliant handling & shed loads of room (comparatively).  I don't think you can go wrong.
I'd also very seriously consider a Skoda Octavia RS wagon (same Golf GTI powerplant).  We've had the larger Skoda Superb since 2015 & it is very, very good value.
