  1. All good. Thanks for your help
  2. Thanks Dreamr. Sorry you had an issue but glad to hear that it was resolved with the latch. I was quoted $574 by Porsche and Autohaus. Did you happen to have a part number for your latch? I'm curious to see if it is indeed the same as on my Cayman. Thanks
  3. Yeah, that was my first thing. Worked for passenger window but not drivers 😫 thanks firstone
  4. I found a pdf file for parts for the cayman. I don't know technically what the difference is but the 1 corresponds to the right door of a left hand drive vehicle, and the 2 to the right door of a right hand drive vehicle. Got me stumped
  5. Thanks Tips. My window drops but doesn't come up? So when the door is open the window stays down but when I close, it won't come up. I have to use the switch to raise? So I don't think its the door handle micro switch. And it doesn't quite sound like the regulator? Got me stumped.
  6. Thanks for looking firstone! Looks very similar. I haven't pulled mine out yet. The part number is slightly different 3D2837016. It would be awesome if it fit at that price!
  7. Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice or to see if anyone has had the same problem with their windows. I have a 2006 987.1 Cayman S. I've posted this in the Mid section of the form but thought I'd post here too as I believe the parts and problem can occur on 997 911's as well. My drivers side window won't close itself when shutting the door (the 12mm or so). If the window is shut, when you pull the door handle, inside or out, the window drops automatically to allow the glass to clear the door frame seal. I have to raise it with the switch. I can use the window switch to lower the window in one go but it won't do the same up. The passenger window is fine. I've disconnected the battery to try to reset the window but that does not work unfortunately. My research suggests a broken micro switch in the door lock. So the window doesn't recognise when the door is shut that it should raise the glass. I've found the part number too: 3D2837016 which James at Autohaus can get me for $574. Before I order the part, I'd love to hear if anyone has had the same problem, and if they know how it was fixed? Thanks for your help.

    Liftbars?

That's what I have been doing to get the rear of my Cayman off the deck Rego. Exactly as described by pelican parts. I just get nervous when you do the front first one side at a time. I''ll get some ramps for the front to make basic maintenance easier. I like the idea of the centre jack point Spyder. I'll look into that one now. Thanks for the thought, advice and experiences every one.

    Liftbars?

They look good Carrera. Where did you find those?

    Liftbars?

Thanks for sharing your experience Stephen. I've got a friend who's a professional fabricator in his job. I was talking with him about making me a set. It looks like you've already done the hard work and found it's not really feasible or practical. I was wondering if the low height might be a problem too. Have you managed to come up with an alternative way to lift your car? I've been considering a hoist for ages but don't really want to commit that much floor space in the grudge.

    Liftbars?

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has ever purchased Liftbars (http://liftbars.com)? They don't appear to ship outside the US. I've been lifting my 987 Cayman in stages from side to side for a few years now but it requires the car to tip on the diagonal. I really like the idea of being able lift each side in one even/square lift. If you've had any experiences using these or something similar I'd greatly appreciate hearing about it. Thanks
  13. Hi Michel. I've been doing all of the work myself so stamping isn't important. I just don't feel like doing the coolant job. I'll definitely cal North Side Euro. Cheers
  14. Thanks Carrera I'll give them a call.
