  1. Just returned today from a week of driving around Tasmania with some great folks and great cars. It was my first time driving around Tas in the 911, but it certainly won't be the last! Great organisation from Michael Bailey from PCV. A couple of photos I managed to snap along the way. All waiting at the Spirit of Tas in Melbourne for boarding. Parked up at our first rest stop. Fueling up after leaving Launceston, before hitting some Targa stages. Lunch stop at Hellyers Road Distillery. Lining up, for an early morning run from Smithton. The old and the new. A quick run through Cradle Mountain on the way back to the Spirit of Tas on the last day.
  2. Kerry, I was wondering, for those who, like me, forgot to buy a Hangarbanger2 poster from the merch stand on Sunday, are there any left available to purchase?
  3. I'd like to echo the comments already made here and thank Kerry, Hugh, John, Rohan and all others who were involved in organising a fantastic day of Porsche perving! As one of the 'orange vest crew' helping to park the cars on arrival, I'd also like say a big thank you all those who attended for their patience when entering. It was challenging at times to handle all the cars arriving at once and making sure they were parked in their positions, but the process was made much easier by the happy and helpful nature of the drivers.
  4. Headed out on a drive from Torquay, down the Great Ocean Road to Port Campbell. Couldn't help but try and recreate the photo @Damienb had the other day on the same road. I can't match up to the selfie skills of your wife Damien, but I tried!
  5. I also couldn't remember if I had submitted a registration, memory like a sieve! For those in the same boat, I see that if you have completed the Google Forms registration form, you should have received a confirmation email from Google Forms with the subject "#hangarbanger2 car registration form". Hope this helps.
  6. Thanks Mark, good to see you again too. Zara had a blast on the lap with you, it's just a pity that she now knows how slow my laps are!!!
  7. Thanks to Mark, Hugh and Kerry (aka Candle) for organising today. Good to catch up with great people and drive a fun track. Zara and I had a blast. Can't wait for the next one.
  8. Hi Hugh, For those staying overnight on the Saturday, is there a booking number to quote? and is there a check-in opening time? Thanks
  9. Morning all, I'm counting down the days to this weekend, in anticipation for some track fun ? I was wondering if there were any more details about the weekend, e.g. booking numbers for accommodation, check in times, schedule for Sunday etc. Thanks in advance. Nick
  10. I have a question regarding helmets that I'm hoping someone can help clarify. The standards are a bit of a minefield to the uninitiated! I see from the CAMS manual there are 4 classes A,B,C,D, which have differing requirements for helmets. I'm wondering which class this track day will fall into. I was planning to use a motorcycle helmet which is ECE22.05 standard approved. From what i can see in the CAMS manual, this standard appears to be acceptable for all classes except class A. Can anyone confirm if this is correct and if this will be an acceptable helmet for this event? Thanks in advance.
