  1. Memories flooding back. My first hot rod was a canary yellow 1970 LC XU1 when I was 17 (1987). Needed some TLC but being 17, didn't have the money to bring it up to a standard I would have liked. Didn't stop me from enjoying it though. Loved the car and sold it for the same amount I paid for it 4 or 5 years later. Not unusual at the time, friends in the neighbourhood drove genuine XY and XW GTs, Monaro GTSs and Torana SLRs and the odd A9X. One by one, we all traded up to mortgages, married life or both. Been to a few Muscle Car Masters days at Eastern Creek in the last few years just to get my XU1 fix. I too, would have loved to have kept my XU1. Traded up (some would say sideways) to a flat six a quarter of a century later. Dominic, have seen your car in the flesh, superb machine.

  3. I've been taking my cars to Ralph at RPMs for nearly 5 years, haven't had a problem. Can vouch for Grant and the team at Autohaus as well.
  4. Ummm.......Pete Was the choice of background in your 'winter wonderland' shot above deliberate?
  5. Finally! I'm glad you're up and running Pete. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh sometime soon.
  6. To suit '84 911 targa.
  7. Ripper car David, congrats! Looking forward to more SMTs. Me keep up? 🤣
  8. Phew! Out of the foetal/fetal position now.........
  9. Far out man! The only reason I have my Porsche is to go on Caver's drives. What am I supposed to do now?
  10. Better late than never, Yes Tingy, 1.5 inch bypass pipe welded in a little after our run with Caver west of Sydney. During our run, car a little muted anything north of 4k revs. Kept having to crane my head sideways to hear where I was at tachometer wise if you get my drift. Gundo well and truly fixed that.
