  1. @JWM @D2000 thanks, learn something new every day.
  2. Looks like a very early 996.2, making it a 3.6. Think the first MY was 02 for them.
  3. .... and the paint around the Made in Western Germany plate in the last photo. Or am I being picky?
  4. I am a bit rusty, but off the top of my head manuals were about 5k on top of tips when I was looking two years ago. @WOKA have you kept your spreadsheet up to date?
  5. Looks like a very nice car. Not seen a targa 4S before. Big job to inspect an IMS bearing. Perhaps he just means that the paperwork is there.
  6. This car was for sale a few years ago when I was looking. Same Adv. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-911-Carrera-2002/SSE-AD-3597925 Apparently he’s going OS again. Was unhelpful when I spoke to him back then. Recommend any interested parties do a VIN check.
  7. Non original engine then. Would be great to see some interior shots. + 1 for wing delete.
  8. Something about the wheels looks off. Is it wearing spacers? Is it just crappy photo displaying poorly on my iPhone? Personally not a fan of 997T wheels on 996.
  9. Well said @Ozvino Hopefully Jim Molan can bring some attention to this. How would we all feel about paying a few (?) cents/L more for a locally refined product?
  10. Centre console delete is a must if you are tall and want to keep your hand n the 9 o’clock position in a left hand turn. you get used to the (greater) lack of storage.....
  11. Hi Michael, i have had mine for almost two years now and love it. I was originally after a 996 Gen 2 but when I saw the Gen 1 with X51 and factory sports suspension (030) and exhaust I was sold. Can’t comment on relative performance as my only other significant p-car experience was with my old 986. X51 is more than extra 20hp, also includes upgraded lubrication and cool kit. Good for tracking methinks. here is an interesting post on it. http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=60293
