  1. I'm in agreeance with the sentiments here. It's completely reasonable that he's facing jail for speeding and DUI, but to have this event happen right there and right then, that's... that's some kind of unholy bad luck. Life's put on a wet leather glove and taken a full-sprint running slap at this guy. I'm not defending his actions in anyway.
  2. If you choose the 986 - which you should - look for the later ones that have the glass rear window. The 986 and 996 seem to need a bit of refresh around 160k - discs, drop links, water pump, aos, etc.
  3. https://www.porsche.com/international/type7/ Saw it on their Instagram, get em while they're hot.
  4. Coming in late but Gyruss is also available on Xbox You'd have to be tragic to download and practice on it before heading out to the arcade haha right 😉 haha
  5. Now show us the turbo! Also where did you get your bumper done, I still haven't fixed mine...
  6. Just saw this on Facebook, some nice driving
  7. There was a post on fb about a bunch of porsches getting pulled over down that way. 🤔
  8. Anyone got a timestamp or ballpark of where it falls in the show? I can't bring myself to watch a full hour
  9. Just updating this to share my experience with Sonnen Parts in USA - I'd ordered just over $2k worth of parts and they dropped the price to under $2k so I wouldn't have to pay the Harvey Norman tax. They also lowered the shipping cost as it was less than quoted online. All of this was unsolicited. Very happy with that. It's been less than a week to get to "shipping" status, and that includes ordering from the factory in Germany. I comparison shopped between Pelican Parts, Sunset Porsche and Sonnen, and they were the cheapest by a few hundred dollars. I would recommend.
  10. That beat-up 89 SC sold for 61k - it was pitched at 45-55k. https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2019-shannons-melbourne-summer-classic-auction/BE7P9EN08H18AF91/ @Troubleshooter
  11. Those wheels look great. Fancy a drive in the hills this weekend? I'd like to see it in person
  12. Thanks Troubleshooter, I only keep a casual eye on this thread and hadn't seen it discussed. I'm not interested in the car but thought it might be a good entry point for a non-purist.
  13. Drop links and control arms, mine's a '00 and the suspension is getting a bit rattley, that's what's needed in mine. Does it wander in windy conditions or seem to have two stages to cornering, where you turn in then the weight shifts, instead of it all happening at once? That's worn steering.
  14. Let me know if this has already been posted and I'll remove it. https://www.shannons.com.au/auctions/2019-shannons-melbourne-summer-classic-auction/BE7P9EN08H18AF91/ 1981 Porsche 911SC Coupe Guiding Range: $45,000 - $55,000
  15. Best thread on the site. Standouts for me is the signal orange rsr, I had a model kit of this car in orange as a kid: And the ruby red 993 rs, I'm sure I saw one of these in Hamiltons on swan st, Melbourne in the early 90's: Great thread thanks.

  22. "Betteridge's law of headlines is an adage that states: "Any headline that ends in aquestion mark can be answered by the word no." It is named after Ian Betteridge, a British technology journalist, although the principle is much older." Not sure it holds here tho
