  1. Hi All. I have a 1980 911sc (Oz car) with 3-point rear seat belts (non-retractable). One of the receivers has broken and will not accept the belt. Does anyone have any spare receivers or full belt sets that they want to get rid of? Or -can anyone recommend where I can buy some new ones. I am in the Sydney area. Thanks
  2. I must say, I really wasn't on the lookout for a Targa but they are growing on me. I don't know much about the 3.0 - any comments? And finally - what does everyone think it's worth??
  3. Does anyone have any info on this one...https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1976-porsche-911-carrera-3-0-targa?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=23846387067750088&utm_campaign=xagency&fbclid=IwAR0C1sWMYxq8BUhaA3csv7EqSEbUykR1PIqlmZtfix6HpCU6Tx8p2H4uud4

  5. I had a relay go on my BMW (was intermittently working). I opened it up and saw that a crack had developed in the solder right around a pin that went through the circuit board so as it moved around, sometimes the circuit would work and sometimes it wouldn't. It was an easy fix just to apply a soldering iron to the cracked solder and repair the crack. Worth having a look inside before you buy another one.
  6. I am in the market for a 3.2 coupe or maybe a wide body Targa. Maybe an SC as well. Must be RHD otherwise open to look at most. If anyone is thinking of selling or knows of one that is available, please PM me.
  7. Could you send me a link to this thread. Thanks.
  8. Thanks Peter. I was more curious than anything. I personally would never buy a car without seeing it, especially without a PPI. I do not understand why a seller (when selling through an online auction) would not obtain a PPI and include it with the information on the website. Surely the cost of a PPI would be recouped through a better sale price regardless of what it said - at least it provides potential buyers with a much higher level of certainty.
  9. Does anyone know anything about this car.. https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1986-porsche-911-carrera-3-2-sport?fbclid=IwAR3IiIZZBvKbETiNUX4Ti_UPz1FbGgE5kEk85y2kKBz4vLrnQ_V-15nnCWc

  11. Up to around $120k but I have a bit of flexibility.
  12. I am looking for a 3.2 coupe. Please PM me with details of any that are available.
  13. I am looking at a 1984 911 3.2 and am trying to decide which shop to do the pre-purchase inspection. Both BWA Auto (Seven Hills) and Autohous Hamilton (Chatswood) have been very helpfull to date and would like to use one of these guys. The issue is the cost - BWA Auto is $648 vs AH which is $1,485. Both include compression test. Can anyone provide any input on why there is such a difference? Any view on either shop. Thanks
