Seems to be the case! I'd love to hear that story too. I looked at it and was initially keen but got a whisper from someone in the know that it 'wasn't the right car for me' 😉. I don't mind the silver Cab down in Melbourne but think I'll wait it out for a coupe.

Re: the signature, I got a bit carried away before the PPI on a C2 Cab - it badly failed a leak-down test on one of the cylinders so I walked away. I then got kinda hooked on the C4S but if good examples are going for ~$95K these days then perhaps I've missed that boat!

Completely missed that and now apparently sold. What were they asking for it?

Thanks all for the responses. Like mystro has stated, the pricing of the current stock is not far off similar 997s so these are strange times indeed. Anyway, I'll keep looking. I'm in no rush but am hoping that someone with a decent example will be prepared to 'meet the market' at some point.

Hi all Was a 99% of the way through buying my first Porsche (996.2 C2 Cab) but the deal crapped its pants at the PPI so I've had to walk away. Because I'm now hooked on the idea of owning one, I thought I'd ask whether there are any off-market opportunities out there/coming up for a 996.2 C4S? Have been on Carsales but that stock seems to be a bit stale/expensive from what I've read here. Wants are as follows: * Manual * Under 100Ks * very good condition * AU delivered (or *very* attractively priced import) * Will need to be able to pass a PPI (including compressison & leak down tests) without any significant issues to address Coupe or cab are both fine and as I'm based in Sydney, would be great if the car was local. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who has, or knows of someone who has a car that meets the above criteria. Thanks! Greg
