  1. Some interesting an valuable Porsches will be auctioned in Monterey next month One of the most interesting: https://www.mecum.com/lots/CA0819-381054/1955-porsche-tempo-mikafa-sport-camper/ One of the most valuable (behind the Type64): https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25221/preview_lot/5293559/ Personal favourites: https://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1977-porsche-934-5/ https://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1991-porsche-911-reimagined-by-singer/ https://www.goodingco.com/vehicle/1988-porsche-959-sport-3/ https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mo19/monterey/lots/r0034-2005-porsche-carrera-gt/777635
  2. The Count Rossi 917 (917-030) changed hands last year for a record figure, I don't think this will get anywhere near that but should get a big number result.
  3. Friends and colleagues of mine swear by Maxwell Wang. Having worked with them before, I can also vouch for Auto Attention for car detailing.
  4. There was a slantnose with a for sale sign parked outside the 356 Concours at Como Park a few weeks ago. It looked pretty rough but I took a couple of quick photos and the owner's number if you are interested.
  5. Sorry Jason I didn't upload the video, I just found it on youtube
  6. Good luck with the sale Jono! For anyone interested it is a stunning vehicle: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cfkzlnoed3mtbar/0E5A5340.JPG?dl=0
  7. This genuine guards red 993 GT2 just arrived in Melbourne from the UK. Video was from its time at Porsche Centre Leeds.
  8. The Porsche Club of Victoria has President's Day at Sandown on Sunday.
  9. The estimate was over $20,000,000 when it was set to cross the block in 2014 before it was pulled from the auction. Canepa has/had an asking price of $US25 million on 917-017.
  10. There seems to be quite a lot of good detailers in Melbourne who do very high quality work with attention to detail. I would add Damon from Auto Attention into the mix.
  11. Pleased to hear that your car was not one of the ones destroyed. Heartbreakingly my friend's recently-acquired 997 wasn't so fortunate and was unsalvageable. I know a very famous and successful competition 911 was also stored there amongst many other noteworthy Porsches. It was entered for Phillip Island on the weekend but was a no show. I am hoping it also didn't suffer the same fate.
  12. Too many events on. Porsche Club of Victoria at Haunted Hills, AOMC Classic at Flemington, Porsches & Coffee at Elwood and Ferrari Concours at Yarra Valley. Unfortunately as I have been photographing for the FCA for a number of years, looks like I will be heading to Yarra Valley. I hope to drop in quickly at Elwood but doubtful. Rob has organised a great event so it will be a shame to miss it.
