  1. Hi everyone, I'm considering investing in a 911 Turbo - most likely 997.1 generation but I have one concern. Whilst I enjoy driving manual recreationally I find them tedious in traffic day to day (car would be driven day to day plus for fun on weekends!).. Just wondering what tbe forum readers think the mpact on future resale values will look like for Tiptronic vs PDK vs Manual. My gut feel is the Manual and PDK will do much better long term. Thoughts? Cheers Dave

  3. For sale is a set of grills for the 991 C4S. It is very easy to get stone chips in the front radiators, especially when driving on the motorway. The cost of replacing the radiators are very expensive. Also protect the area from leaves which can be difficult to clean out. The mesh spaces are narrow enough for protection, but wide enough to not impede air-flow. Originally purchased from Zunsport.com. This is a specialised company who only does grills. They produce OEM grills for Jaguar etc. Grill is made of high quality stainless steel, black covering is made of black polymer that can recover from stone chips which is much better than paint. The centre panel is brand new, the size panels are used but in excellent condition. Comes with all screws and clips for a self install. Instructions attached and videos on website. Price: $100. To buy from Zunsport costs £254+ Shipping For pick up NSW 2137, 2114, 2220, 2047 or 2042 with arrangement. Can be picked up by courier or shipped at buyer's expense. Email me at dkc64@hotmail.com. Reason for sale: I have sold my beloved 991 C4S. https://www.zunsport.com/en/porsche-carrera-4s-991-pdk-with-parking-sensors--front-grille-set-p474

  8. Has anyone experienced a pretty disconcerning buffeting noise on the 991 Porsche?
  9. Here's a EVO review of the second gen 991 Carrera S. Despite discussing some pretty amazing figures, it is a bit weird hearing a review of a Carrera in the context of being turbo. Guess it will take a little time for me to get used to people saying turbo charged Carrera.
  10. New to this forum as I just sighed up, so here is my 1st post with 2 questions: I am looking at buying a new 911 991 GTS. The options list is overwhelming so what do you suggest would be the must have? Heard 991.2 platform will come out soon and some enhancements are expected to appear on GTS model. Should I place an order now or wait for the 2.0 version? Anyone knows when 991.2 will be available?
  11. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
  12. Holy crap! So my next door neighbour brings home a 991 Carrera PDK loaner for a couple of days. Of course i go knock on the door! Next thing i know - test drive. Bugger me. INCREDIBLE. I can't believe how far this car has evolved in the 10 years since my 996.2! Oh, the induction sound....the guttural roar that comes from behind you when it senses the slightest bit of urgency from your right foot. You could play that soundtrack all day. And it really is a Jekyll & Hide kind of car. You can tootle about so sedately and it just feels like a real nice everyday car - meet Dr Jekyll. But hit the Sport Plus button and out comes the evil Mr Hyde! Now it wants..no no, demands to behave like a race car. The box of cogs knows exactly where to be before you do to get the most out of it. It wants to rev hard up through the gears and then when slowing up that blip of the throttle makes you feel like a pro! I really just wanted to drive the thing all night. I want one... I might have to wait another 10 years to afford one. Damn you Mr Hyde!
