  3. Manual 997.2 SOLD! Finally I am selling my 997.2, it's a manual, black on black with 38k on the clock. It comes with 16 months Porsche warranty! This is brilliant as when there is anything wrong with the car that is not a consumable part, it is coveted under warranty. The only real peace of mind you can have with a Porsche (e.g. had an issue with the key... replaced for free no questions asked, no cost). it is in really really good condition, paint is near perfect as is the interior. Just been given the once over by Porsche today various items fixed under warranty and new front Michelin Sports going on later this week. I believe it's the only 997.2 manual for sale in Australia. It will go to be sold on consignment in Syd next week unless sold to a PFA member before Monday. '08 build, 38k, 997.2 $125,000 Please PM me for pics if you are interested - I'm sad to see her go
  4. As sorry as I was to see my Boxster drive way some months ago, I began my search in a ridiculously buoyant market, to buy a car that I liked and could afford. No easy task. I was looking for a honest, well looked after, but not perfect car. I am really pleased ( and who wouldn't be?) with what I have ended up with. So in short ,its an 1984 Aussie delivered carrera coupe. It's had 2 prior owners, the previous owner purchased it when it was 18 months old and has had it for the last 29 years !!!!. The original paint has more than a few scratches and chips and needs some work, but if you stand far enough away it looks great. Auto Art tell me the engine is fine there and there is no rust in any of the all original panels and and it comes with the standard inoperative air conditioning package. Anyway enough of the story , a few quick pics from my phone,
  5. I'm scheduled to be back in the US this september, after I'm done with work related crap the plan is to have my partner fly in to meet me and from then on me and her are going to take a well earned break for at least a couple of weeks! There is a bunch of things we wish to see and do which will see us in various states, Porsche Rennsport reunion in Atlanta is one of them. I'll hop to the point, I have wanted to buy a car whilst in the USA and do a road trip for the longest time! I've done plenty of miles in the US over the years in rentals, I am thinking maybe this is the trip where I buy a car, do a road trip and send it home at the end. I'm looking at older 912's & 911's and nothing newer than 1985 (easy to import 30 year old cars). As there is a higher element of risk by using the car on a road trip, I'm not looking at a big budget either (USD 20-30K) I am very familiar with buying cars in the US as I've done it in the past, so I am more or less looking for recommendations on what models I should really look at, sound buying if you will. Browsing Hemmings classifieds, it seems like IB cars are the only ones in that budget! What do people think of 912E? I found this gem on Hemmings that fits the bill - http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/porsche/912e/1737299.html This is SC looks nice too http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/porsche/911sc/1727773.html EDIT: Trip would look something like this
