  1. Coming up for 6 years since I hooked up with my SXC blonde and now she (should cars be gender neutral now?) is like many 41 year olds, getting a bit saggy and spongy while moving around. Current setup ( or how I bought the car ) is Green (HD I Think) Bilstiens on the rear and Boge Struts on the front but not known if they have had the inserts replaced, the rear shocks had stickers on them indicating they had been rebuilt/refurbished at some time. I have already purchaced the Elephant racing spring plate rubbers and was intending using the same on the front, along with replace ball joints as one has a torn rubber dust cover and replace the strut top, sway bar and trailing arm bushing as a matter of course. The LF strut has a slight weep and the gap on the spring plate outer cover (the indicator to how worn they are apparently) is suggesting the time is near. Just looking to hear what people have done and experienced with their own suspension (don't need theory have the web for that) and not looking to track the car but want better than stock and aiming for a compromise between comfort and performance. Questions: What did you use and why? Was it better or worse? What problems did you encounter? What Tips can you share? Replace and or upgrade torsion bars? Anything else you can think of? WTB: Front strut.

Trying to do a wheel alignment and have problems with camber setup, figuring it's most likely bent strut from measurements taken. So chasing a BOGE left hand strut or happy to buy a pair if you don't want to split up what you have. Alternatively will consider koni or bilstein setup Please let me know what you have. Thx.
  4. Guys, I bought a pair of these Bilstein HD(B6) strut cartridges late last month to fit the OE Boge legs on my May 1985 built Carrera C3.2: http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/porsche-suspension-strut-cartridge-911-38243027245 Apparently the change over of the struts from the old style to the new style didn't actually all occur in April 1985 and my car was assembled with the older style strut inserts. (Essentially old style have a gland nut with external thread while the new have internal thread) So I have a set of strut cartridges that fit Carrera 3.2 with the OE Boge struts from "about mid" 1985 until 1989 surplus to requirements! I could return these parts that are brand new, still in the boxes for a refund but return shipping isn't cheap (boxed up the pair is just over 6kg) so I'll offer these for sale here first. These cost around $370 plus $115 for shipping or a total of $489USD or $523AUD You can have the pair for $250AUD plus postage or pickup. Drop me a PM or call on oh4oh1 742 9one9
  5. Do you know of anybody in Melbourne who can re-valve Bilstein dampers?
