Can anyone suggest where I may be able to get a carpet kit for my 1957 356A? I've contacted Prostitch.com.au several times over several weeks with multiple emails and a phone call, but for some reason I can't seem to get either a quote or an idea of postage costs. I know Stoddard do a carpet kit and a few others, but I wanted to keep the money in Australia. Does anyone else in Australia do carpet apart from Pro stitch? Thank you.
Hi Folks, Long time, no post. I bought the carpet set pictured below from a member on here a couple of years ago. It was advertised as a 964 carpet set, which I was told by the seller would also fit my 1976 Targa. Guess what? It doesn't fit. Note that I tried to lay it out looking from the rear of the car but got lost with the bits at the far end, see second pick for close up of those items. Can anyone identify what it might fit so that I can try to sell it on and buy something that does fit? Thanks in advance.
So I bit the bullet and ordered a full set of rhd carpet from classic9 for my SC . It took five weeks to make and another two to get here. It arrived today and I haven't fully unpacked it yet but so far it looks fantastic and a close approximation to the original. Price was pretty good too. Will post pics when I start installing. Missus saw the senders name on the giant box and got all excited. Was very disappointed to find it was porsche carpet.
Hi all, I've had my SC a month or so now. I've been working through the annoyances that made it the bargain it was. So far I have fixed the sunroof, shift coupling, driver's window regulator, window channel seals and a few other minor things. Next is the interior seat trim, then the A/C. It's a survivor car with nearly 400,000km on the clock. While the car is in excellent condition in the original colour and trim, with no modifications at all, I'm not sure if I should try and keep it ncompletely original or not. The front seat trim is slightly different to the rear so I''m guessing someone's swapped out the front seats at some stage. I see that vinyl and leather retrimming kits are available cheaply and easily, but nothing for this tweed/berber type stuff. Anyone know if a prepackaged kit is around? If not then I'll have to send it to a trimmer, or give it some nicer front seats. Thoughts on originality on something with so many k's?
