  1. Due to a new project looming, unfortunately room needs to be made in my current stable. After many sleepless nights and careful consideration I have decided to offer my 1969 911 T for sale to facilitate the transition. I'm posting here initially, if not of interest to the PFA community it will be offered/listed for sale elsewhere. THE CAR Original Aus delivery 1969 911T in its factory colour of Ossi Blau. ENGINE 2.7L (webers) to a period RS spec/performance via a 5 speed gearbox. BODY Original/period body, bumpers etc. with the addition of RS rear flares & hood spot lights. BRIEF HISTORY I purchased the car 2-3 years ago as a very fresh restoration off a well-known TYP 901 member who extensively documented its rebuild. I was wanting a preferably pre 1970 early 911, completely straight and rust free example (as so many of these early cars can suffer from neglect and do often contain rust somewhere). This car underwent a complete bare metal, nut and bolt restoration and is spotless as a result, inside and out. The first several months of ownership was giving the car a shakedown and getting the car running properly as is required with any car after such an extensive rebuild. Safe to say that the car is now a very well sorted, reliable (+ quick) driver. The car is littered with trick parts, Wevo components have been used throughout (shifter, clutch/pedal box, suspension) – the detail of the build is more than skin deep and needs to be seen & driven to be appreciated. The car has been built as an inspired 60's/70's period racer, set up for road (B-roads in particular) and is properly quick. It’s setup, ride, turn in etc. is just fabulous – not what you’d typically expect from a 50yo chassis. I essentially went out to find a platform to create my “ultimate” long hood period 911 that I could enjoy driving anywhere but was more capable than a stock/original car of the era when driven energetically. I love race cars, but being a road car focused build I wanted it to be a little understated so it’s a blend of these elements but still something I see as period correct reflection – no overcooked, just delicately trying to find that balance of all the things I have grown to appreciate and love about early 911’s. This car had always been purchased as a keeper with zero intention to sell. However due to a new project looming it's time for this lovey car to find a new owner who will hopefully use and enjoy it as intended. I have listed at 180k (negotiable). Purchased from Dutton's in Port Melbourne early December 2018 this car is spectacular and started my P journey, though sadly my wife and daughter also think so after purchase despite being completely ambivalent pre-purchase - three into two don't go so its collecting dust in my garage.   4. Does anyone in the PFA Brains Trust have some hard data on recent 928 sales - say, in the last six months? There are quite a few on carsales but most have been sitting for yonks. I'd also appreciate estimates for the vehicle below (based on the limited info I have at the moment): @ANF, @tazzieman, @Diamond911, @KGB and anyone else that would care to chime in - all comments appreciated. A friend is considering putting his 1987 928 S4 auto up for sale. It has a solid service history, lower-than-average kms and the body work seems in good condition. The interior could do with some attention. It's had a recent belt service. I have yet to ascertain whether it's all original, unmodified, first paint, accident-free, etc. Cheers.

It looks tough, It really has a great presence , It sounds great as it pumps out beautiful 911 tunes through it's Ssi exhaust. corrosion isn’t an issue with this car. No oil leaks either...Hasn't dropped any. “ Auto Coupe “ just replaces shift bush and had a play and it’s shifting nice now. It fires straight up and really jumps to life, Its very straight, Paint is Very good, Targa roof has 2 small blemishes (front and trailing edge 5c piece size) a trimmer can sort. Interior is good. Stops and handles well, Has been a fun car, if you want a good car at reasonable money jump in the car and shoot to Dandenong South tomorrow and check it out. Will not disappoint!   9. Hi guys, just wanted to know if anyone can provide me with some estimates ? How many Porsche dealers are there in Australia? (not just Porsche Australia (that I can google), I am also thinking about dealers such as RSR, AutoHaus Hamilton etc. Was hoping could pull this out of Carsales but no dice. How big is the market? How big is the private seller market? What is your favourite platform for buying/selling ? Mine, carsales.. but I really I think you get better deals for forums. What are your thoughts? And finally, with the appropriate care measures, insurances etc, would you ever let someone else drive your Porsche in an organised, controlled group session?

FOR SALE - I have a 1981 928 which with fluids is running and is rolling shell (no bonnet no doors no rear hatch no ft/rear bumpers) and no interior seats etc– it is an ex Japan LHD car (one of 107 made in 1981) and now that that’s out of the way, the good news is that it’s a low mile (45,000) engine (which yes does run) with auto trans and all running gear/suspension etc etc there. Engine Typ and No: M28/18 8019077- a 4.5 L car. . . Finally it sits on a very rare set of 928 BBS rims (which I may/may not include - but I do intend to move it all on as one lot if the price is right)- the same attractive and rare BBS rims as those used on the 1983 Nurburgring 4 hour entry 928 that is now restored and in the Porsche museum. Valuable mechanical and body spares for your 928 racer or restoration project. Car is in SA. asking $5k - engine has to be $3k the rare BBS rims $1-$1.5k so the rest of the car you'll get for five hundred to a grand ...   13. Manual 997.2 SOLD! Finally I am selling my 997.2, it's a manual, black on black with 38k on the clock. It comes with 16 months Porsche warranty! This is brilliant as when there is anything wrong with the car that is not a consumable part, it is coveted under warranty. The only real peace of mind you can have with a Porsche (e.g. had an issue with the key... replaced for free no questions asked, no cost). it is in really really good condition, paint is near perfect as is the interior. Just been given the once over by Porsche today various items fixed under warranty and new front Michelin Sports going on later this week. I believe it's the only 997.2 manual for sale in Australia. Australian delivered (South Australia) Matching numbers Full maintenance history Major Service April 2015 231bhp I’ve only had this beautiful Targa for just over 12 months and it’s time to move onto a new home. I have had it on VIC Club Plates (TYP901 club) since ownership and mainly take it out as a weekender. Reason for sale is what I read too often here on the forums….“soon to be married, need house deposit….baby on the way!” so yes this is a clichéd sale and I’m very sad to see it go – Melbourne property seems to be in sync with SWB 911’s! The photos will give you an indication of the immaculate condition of the car, it’s rust free, all seals are crack free and all roof seals are unbroken and in as new condition. The other night I was caught out in a freezing wet night and the roof did not and has never sprung a leak. Sports seats are original option upgrade. Fuchs all unmarked and in pristine condition. Now to the km’s. yes it has more than 370,000km on the clock. Yes that is a lot. Yes it has been loved, driven and enjoyed in its 30yrs. This is a good thing. I do not have documentation on when or if a engine rebuild or refresh or transmission overhaul has been done - the 3.2’s are renowned for being bullet proof– all I can tell you is that it had a full major service in 2010 by Porsche specialist AutoArt and it has again had a minor service when I purchased it May 2014 and major service in April 2015 at Motion Automotive Porsche specialist in Melbourne – it runs flawlessly. Air Con – as you can see it’s disconnected, this is how I purchased it – if you know these cars the A/C is not great – the heating on the other hand is brilliant…..roof off, windows up and heater on the feet is how I drive 90% of the time! Maintenance/Service has been between Motion Automotive and Autooart Porsche Service (both Melbourne based) I have the maintenance records for every 20,000km scheduled Porsche service since 1984. The car idles perfectly, no hunting, responds as required when the right pedal is squeezed and the left peddle depressed, blows no smoke on start up and has run without any incident since I have owned it. So great to see that Porsche have introduced the new Targa, it really gives you the best of both worlds in both warm and cold climates – I also thought I’d stick a photo of Singers latest project which is of course, a Targa. GENUINE BBS WHEELS (MADE IN GERMANY) & PIRELLI CORSA PZERO TYRES These wheels were used on my dads car (Porsche 944) for track days but they have not been used for a couple of years (the tires are worn but there is tread left on them).   20. Ok so here are the details in case you missed the chat in my thread. The car has come up that I wanted to buy years ago that I missed out on. I'm going to take another swing at it but in order to do so I need to sell my old war horse (and a kidney) to be in the running. Anyway it will be hard to let her go but I know I'll be kicking myself later if I don't give it a shot. So details on my car and things you should consider. First of all if your a purist look away now and click back as fast as you can on the top left of your screen. There is nothing for you here.   Ok now we got rid of those guys lets start with the fun. The body shell is a German delivered left hand drive GP white sun roof delete coupe with a steel wide body. The front and rear bars I'm going to call RUF style as I can not say for sure that they are real RUF bars. They are very very light. As in I can pick the rear up with 2 fingers light. The 935 mirrors are small but they do work quite well. The 964 Cobalt Blue paint while it photographs well is not much chop and the car could do with a re-spray, The body is very straight and clearly has zero rust but it's quite clear whom ever painted the Blue over the G.P white did a rubbish job. You should factor this into how you think about the car. For me I spent more time on how the car drives than how it looks. I'd planned a re-spray in Mid 2014 but was not going to rush into it. I've tried to be quite crittical here as I'm more than happy to give you my honest thoughts on the car so you know exactly what you are up for. Now the fun bit the engine and driveline. The 3ltr motor is ~12,000klms old ( I have recipets ) and out of a 1982 SC. I've done a compression test in the last month and it comes up 150psi across all 6 cylinders with less than 1 psi differance between them. Rockers have been checked and adjusted in the last 100klms. Turbo lower rocker covers and powered coated black upper covers. Upgraded hydraulic cam chain tensioners. 3.2ltr intake manifold with BF XR6 turbo injectors. These are going to be well under max duty cycle to at least 400rwhp. The turbo is a Kando dynamics TDO6SE with 3" V band hot side and anti surge comp housing. Don't be put off by the odd name they are a very good quality turbo. I bought it under advice from 2 Garret dealers.. If you need more tech specs I'm happy to tell you. 300mmx300mmx76mm intercooler. Quiet unoffensive BOV. 3" intercooler pipes. 50mm adjustable wastegate with 50mm dump pipe to the back of the car. Stainless steel headers with heat. Unsure of exact brand but they flow very well and have no problem building boost by 2,500rpm. 3" pipe off the back of the turbo into a 3" muffler all the way out the car. The car has a very nice deep tone to it and is not overly loud under 3,500rpm. So you can potter around under the radar. 915 Gearbox with fresh oil. Shifts quite well but like all 915's it requires some skill to use well. It's a little hard to get it into 1st gear while rolling but that's just a 915 thing. Rebuilt shift coupleing and new shift rod bushes. Wevo "Tall" billet shifter in Black. This is about the best shifter money can buy and makes a huge change to how the shift in the car feels. It also hold the lever in the 3rd/4th plain so it's easy to know where the next gear is. Also has a great easy to feel reverse lockout pin so no clipping other gears while getting out of 5th. Sachs heavy duty clutch with 12,000klm on it. New starter motor. RSR engine mount bar Tarret billet rear mounts and new sport gearbox mounts. RSR alt fan strap. D-Zug 935 126mm/276g billet crank pulley NGK BPR6ES sparkplugs. Fresh HPR30 oil and filter. All engine oil lines have been converted to AN fittings and braided lines including the external thermostat. Wet brass geared oil scavange pump with AN fittings and one way flow check valve to keep the gears wet. The pump is triggered via an oil pressure switch in the turbo feed line so while ever there is pressure in the line it will keep running and is on it's own power circuit with fues and relay EFI and fuel system. Haltech Sprint series ECU with duel O2 controller and electronic boost control. The car has a base tune and cold start done and is running on auto tune right now. It still has to have the full power tune. My tuner has not locked the ECU so you can get this done anywhere. I would how ever very much recomend my guy Dale from Castle Hill Performance. Should you want to data log track days and stuff it's just a matter of plugging in a lap top. The Haltech user interface is very easy to use and it very handy for keeping an eye on things. Custom made EFI loom with the ECU now mounted inside the car. 6 LS2 coils. Clewett engineering 8mm crank angle sensor. Clewett engineering 60-2 crank trigger wheel. Clewett engineering billet sensor mount. TurboKraft throttle position sensor. Turbokraft cylinder head sensor. Custom made high performance 8mm noise supressed spark plug leads. Bosch motorsport 044 main fuel pump with power feed by 8 gauge cable. Bendix lift pump. 2ltr swirl pot. Aeromotive boost referenced fuel reg with gauge. -6 AN Black lightweight braided line though the whole car with Red twill in the return line so its easy to tell the return from the feed line. Only quality AN fittings used on the fuel (and oil) sytem. Total spend on AN fittings and line is something I don't like to tell my wife about.. Other stuff. 6 point Matter rollcage. This is out of a factory 964 RS and has plates added to the base to make it suitable for a G series car. I also did this so if you want to take it out of the car it's just a matter of cutting the bead of weld on the extra plate and out it comes. I'm tricky like that. HRE 961Rc centre lock wheels with locking nut and clips. 225's on the front and 265's on the back all in very good condition. Black leather power seats. Momo wheel with quick release hub. Black carpet. Radio delete plate. 6 point drivers harness. 4 point passanger harness and normal seat belt. Wevo rear sway bar mounts. The factory mounts are quite weak but these things are bomb proof.   There are prolly 11ty other things I've not listed but I'll add them as I think of them. This car is a huge amount of fun to drive. The turbo is very much lag free and nothing like the turbo cars of old. I spent months looking at turbo compressor maps for something that would drive like the car still had Weber's on it but with a lot more punch and it's exactly what I've acheived. The car makes good power off idle and feels like a strong 3ltr SC motor till 2,800rpm then it starts to build solid boost till 3,800RPM when it's at the full .8 of a bar and will hold that till 6,500rpm. With the light weight nature of the car it makes for a very quick car to say the least. I consider my car to be something you can enjoy to drive and have as a bit of a toy in the shed to tinker with and update as you see fit. That being said I do all my own work and if I can't do it myself I'll get someone who can and stand over their shoulder while I learn how to do what it is they are doing for me. Keep in mind it's a 1977 model car and you are going to have to work on it at some point in time be it a year from now or a week. I don't want to put you off and there is nothing at all wrong with the car but this should serve as a reality check. Could you drive it to work every day? Sure. Would you drive it to work every day? Maybe. Would I have it as my only car. Probably not. How are you going to do fun jobs in the shed like a brake upgrade if you need to drive it to work on Monday? While it's a very very easy car to learn how to do stuff it's worth talking about. I've kept everything on the car very simple and easy to work on and it's honestly no more complex than a mid 80's car of any other kind. Are there little things I'd like to tidy up and adjust? Yep. Do they need doing now? Nope. Can you do them in your shed with simple tools and some basic skills? Yep sure can. Lets think of it this way, If the thought of changing your own oil terrifies you it's probably not the car for you. If the thought of learning how to change your oil excites you. Perfect.   If you live semi local I'd be more than happy to help do anything you wanted to get done on the car and help you along your way.   23. hello I've just joined up to see if its worth me importing my porsche 928 S2 from the UK into Australia. I'm worried about selling it on and whether i'll get a decent price - i am not sure if people are put off by imports. The car is rust free, has a full service history - porsche specialist and main dealer. Its a 4.7litre V8 manual. Its not perfect but in very good condition - some very minor bits to make it perfect. I have been thinking of changing cars for a while but thought about importing it to tide me over until i find something i like. Any advice would be gratefully recieved. many thanks Simon
