  1. HI all lovely forum people. Just got the wife a Porsche Cayenne Deisel 2011. Needs a major service and don't think I'll be paying the big service costs Porsche Melbourne charge. Use to have a ex BMW specialist for my X5 but now looking for a Porsche specialist. Does anyone know a EX-Porsche Mechanic that has started his own shop? Ideally nearly North Melbourne or within 10-15km of CBD. Hope you can help Andrew
  2. I received a Xmas gift that was not quite the right one for me... as my car is an 1987 chassis with a 1994 engine. If you're local (bayside brighton area in melb)... feel free to come and pickup or if prepared to pay postage, I can send to you. Its un-opened so cant comment on its content, level of detail, how techie or non-techie it describes stuff, etc...but they're on ebay for $30-$40. Here's one for nicks or for the price of postage or just a drive to briiighton, darlings!! Here it is: - for 911s upto 1985 And the back cover if you're interested:
  3. Hey guys, not sure if this is the correct area to post or not, but i'm after a suggestion for a Mechanic in the greater Melbourne area for a 944 non turbo. Just want some basic work done, before doing a road trip to Brisbane, and make sure all running well. I'm not familiar with the car yet, so after a bit of a thorough inspection, to find anything i should be aware of before stretching legs. Once in Brisbane, i'll again be taking to the shop (T&D, so similar and/or follow-up) so this is a one off exercise.. Not great for the mechanic in melbourne i know, but i'd prefer to have trained eyes looking over the key areas before i end up doing something stupid in the middle of no-where. Suggestions greatly appreciated.
  4. hi Mates, Picked up Cayenne turbo 2004 last week. Initially the expansion was leaking so i got it fixed from the dealer, after i had to go get the leak checked from Porsche Center in Parramatta sydney. I am after a good mechanic worthy of doing maintenance and identifying any issues without ripping me off . i m located near to Blacktown. thanks in advance cheers
  5. As some of you may or may not know local Porsche specialist Spencer Harrison from Harrison's RRR recently had an accident. I just wanted to make mention that he is well, on the mend and already back in the workshop doing what he does best - working on Porsches. Seems he is better at this than riding motorbikes, although I understand he is also pretty handy on his Gas Gas (or was at least!). He currently has my custody of my 77 and thought it was worth a mention to anyone concerned or unsure of the effects his condition may have on the workshop. Seems business as usual! Over and out.
