  1. Hello Members, This is odeta stuikys rose. I love Porsche cars and luckily my friend is selling his 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S for $30,000 but I want to make sure, $30,000 for 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S are fine for it or not. Please suggest me best advice for this because your advice will be fruitful for both of us. Thanks
  2. This is a project I was fortunate enough to be involved with. It's essentially a small series of videos based on a variety of different enthusiasts and how their life/passion is influenced by cars, bikes etc. The work that's gone into these videos is amazing and I thought I'd get a thread up on here as no doubt it will be of interest to anyone interested in engines + wheels! https://www.shannons.com.au/club/video/driven-series-trailer-coming-august-2018/ Here is the final product;

  4. Hey everyone I wanted to get your opinions, and possibly your feedback, on whether or not I should get paint protection film or paint protection ceramic coating. I live out towards Penrith, and a majority of my drive takes me through backroads full of stones and rocks, and I was wondering what you would recommend for someone who is trying to keep the paint clean on his Macan. I've done a bit of research on them both, so I am fairly well read on both products, but I would love to get a second opinion from someone who has actually gone and gotten either paint protection film or ceramic coating. Cheers!

I purchased the car from a collection in the UK, It was one of 8 in the collection. it’s a factory RHD it’s got a full steel wide Turbo Body. It looks tough, It really has a great presence , It sounds great as it pumps out beautiful 911 tunes through it's Ssi exhaust. corrosion isn’t an issue with this car. No oil leaks either...Hasn't dropped any. “ Auto Coupe “ just replaces shift bush and had a play and it’s shifting nice now. It fires straight up and really jumps to life, Its very straight, Paint is Very good, Targa roof has 2 small blemishes (front and trailing edge 5c piece size) a trimmer can sort. Interior is good. Stops and handles well, Has been a fun car, if you want a good car at reasonable money jump in the car and shoot to Dandenong South tomorrow and check it out. Will not disappoint! Must sell don’t miss out
  7. Hi there everyone, Excuse any ignorance or noobish-ness in this message but I am wanting to buy a Porsche Boxter (either 1999/2001-2003) in November this year and want to set aside a monthly budget if I needed cash for upkeep / something going wrong with the car. My question is to everyone mostly anyone who has owned this: Is the upkeep of the car expensive and what would you look out for when buying a used version of these models? Did you encounter many problems and is it even worth it? I am so new to this but so in love with this car, really hoping anyone can help me. So appreciate your help

  9. Hi guys, it is Jason from JC Classic Car Restorations. It was great to meet a few of you on Sunday at Sandown. I was asked by a few people about freshening their cars up due to chips and just general road use. Ive just finished repainting a gentlemans 10 year old Porsche . He wanted to purchase another Porsche to have that feeling of a new car, I believe in only doing the highest quality when it comes to refinishing cars. For $25k "not a full restoration" we were able to fulfill his desires and repaint his car and save him money on buying another car. Ive had 22 years experience in the car restoration business. We currently have customers from around the globe that send their pride and joy to us to be restored. To name one, we have a Aston Martin DB4 that we are currently building for Mike Simcoe , the CEO of GMH global car designs. We pride ourselves on customer communication during the restoration to create a smooth experience for the customer and the build. If any of you are on Facebook you can have a look on our business page and view the quality we provide. Feel free to contact me directly on 0439701098 0387403606 we are located in Mt Evelyn Victoria Kindest regards Jason http://m.facebook.com/JC-Classic-CAR-Restorations-301619859892415/?ref=bookmarks
  10. I'm a huge Friends fan and this episode has PORSCHE http://fullepisodes.biz/friends-s07e22-season-7-episode-22-the-one-with-chandlers-dad-s7e22-with-english-subtitles_6b689c3ef.html
  11. Hi all, I'm moving overseas for a couple of years (just planning on storing the car while I'm away), but need to divest of a few things that I've had in the garage. Starting with... 4x Simmons rims, to suit 911SC or Carrera - PRICE CHANGE> $1000 Rears - 16x8 Front - 16x7 I've used these for SuperSprints at WP, SMP, etc (maybe 8 or 10 times?) on a 1980 911SC. Rims are used but no issues with them, no cracks or damage aside from the usual scuffs, grime etc. Fitted with Toyo R888's, 225/45 and 245/45, approx 70%(?) tread left. Comes with 3x Simmons centre caps, 2 in perfect condition, 1 fair to poor. Pickup from Bronte 2024. cheers Al
  12. Hey folks! Wanted to share this and invite you guys to a movie screening. It is a project that I've been working on for the past two years. It started off as a 5 minute YouTube video and grew into a full on film for the cinema. This film is unlike any other videos that you may have seen floating around the internet, it captures the many unseen characters of Akira Nakai, a Japanese Porsche racer and wide-body 911 builder travelling to Australia to build Southern Cross, the first car Down Under. It tells the story of how it feels like to go to a 12 hour endurance race with him in Japan together with the extended RWB family from around the world. Kind word of caution: If you're after period correctness, this is not for you. If you're after clinical and rubber-gloved workshop floors, this is not for you. If you're expecting to see lab coats, clean tartan, fedora hats, wine and cheese at the races, this really isn't for you. What to expect: A film with a lot of dirt and grime, a heavy car crash and a tin shed with 7 RWB Porsche's to the colour of Skittles and a workshop floor littered well worn slicks, tools and fibre-glass in the air. Film website: www.RWB.film PFA Members: The cinema is largely free-seating, however I have allocated the rear-most rows to PFA and my foreign guests (including Nakai-san). The rear 4 rows are the best seats in the house, and group buy is available with free movie t-shirts for you guys. So let me know as soon as possible. Thank you Kerry and Orlando for allowing me to post this up! NB: Did I mention we cut up Porsche's too? Chern. (chern@rwb-australia.com)

  17. Headed out on the 25 June for my first Track day in the 911 at Lakeside Speedway in Queensland. I prefer my mountain roads and spirited street driving, but as with many before me, am realising to explore the car's limits, its better to do it in a controlled environment. The 993 3.6 was rebuilt at the beginning of the year, so I was keeping my engine in mind while racing (and hence short shifting). For those that dont know my car, it was driven regularly on Eastern Creek by the previous owner, with a setup reflecting regular track use (polyurethane bushes, solid strut mounts, brake balancer). It really felt at home on the track and allowed my noob ass to get away with some very bad transitions. A lot was learned on the day, many things Id never experienced before on the street, heat cycling of tyres being the biggest. Any feedback, commenting, good or bad is appreciated

  19. Given the rise in price and popularity of aircooled cars, I was wondering if anyone had started snapping up old 911 and 356 pedal cars? A quick Google search didn't give a whole lot of results but here's a link to get started: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/54807-porsche-pedal-car-landfill-rescue Anyone have one or more of these? Kinda' a cool addition to have parked next to the real thing..
  20. Im currently in two mind about swapping out my factory 1974 911 seats with some that offer a bit more support around the edges. Thought it would be a good opportunity to see what others have in their car? So please list the following: Car: (Model and Year) Seat: (Including Brand and Model) Rails: (Used to fix the seats to the car) Difficulty of Install: (1 being as easy as putting your seat belt on, 10 being as difficult as getting into the back of a 911 with fixed backs while being pregnant) Feedback: (For example: Comparison of feel to previous seats, quality, degrading over time)
