  1. Hi All, Excited to be a new 911 owner (AU delivered 1975 ice green Sporto 911 Coupe)! The engine (or at least the fan housing) has been changed to a US 911S (engine # 6270894). So I'm looking for the original 2.7L engine with number 6159051. EDIT: I finally confirmed the matching engine number with Porsche, but still need to find the actual engine please. Thanks to anyone who can help! Scott
  2. Since I have been supplying new diaphragms I have come across a few vacuum control valves that have had their Flyback diodes inexplicably removed. These diodes are located at the top end of the solenoid, between the 2 spade connectors. They stop the gearshift microswitch contacts prematurely burning out due to arcing. (From the collapsing field from the solenoid coil.) If you are getting any more than a tiny flash at your micro-swich, then this is probably the culprit. They should look like this--
  3. I'm after one or 2 servos to use as spare parts. Leaky is fine. Complete if possible. Any year is fine. Disassembled is also okay. PM me if you like. Cheers.
  4. okay, so I'm still looking for options - does anyone have on the shelf any of the below in a good condition from either a conversion or as spares: Clutch Pressure Plate Throwout Bearing the pressure plates are now NLA, and the clutch/pressure plate is ex Germany so i'm worried it'll take a while Thanks in advance
  5. so I'm having some "gear selection issues" in my sporto I assume it's the clutch not releasing so hopefully it's adjustable (either that or it's covered in oil) I'm going to get the micro switch adjusted again, the valves on the intake side cleaned and the clutch adjustment checked.. but I've had this done before and I'm guessing they aren't the issue - I've even had the vacuum diaphragm tested and it was okay scratch looking for a clutch 'rebuilder' I've found I can get a new clutch (I think it's shared with a superbug!)
