Airhead Posted 3December, 2016 Report Share Posted 3December, 2016 I will steal that shrink tube idea. I have been scratching my head to find something to use.Cut it longer than you need then trim off excess after shrinking.

rafikdous Posted 7December, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 7December, 2016 Been away from home for couple of days so nothing happenedthis morning I rubbed the dash back, masked it and undercoated it
rafikdous Posted 10December, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 10December, 2016 Minor setback this morningWhile I was preparing the centre of the dash, I noticed a piece of vinyl. When I removed it, this is what I found. Some dickhead hacked a hole in it just above where the radio is. The two holes are for the switches So I had to weld it, certainly not what I want after the car has been paintedClamped a piece of metal behind the hole to avoid cat's whisker then weld a piece inThen a skim of filler to take the unevenness out Then etch primed it and high filled itWill block it tomorrow then get back to finishing the dash
