Tangerine '70 T targa resto

I will steal that shrink tube idea. I have been scratching my head to find something to use.

Cut it longer than you need then trim off excess after shrinking.

Hi loving the story and photos of your build.

I own a 79 sc widebody that i recently had the engine fully rebuilt.

How do you post photos on this site as i would like to start a story on my car?

The car was updated to a 964 which i would like to backdate to original. Do you know anyone that has a complete set of bumpers front and rear and set of 16 inch fuchs with the correct offset for a widebody?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I use www.postimage.org. I find it my easier than anything else

For the SC parts, call David Jenej in Melbourne from All Motor Sports. Most likely he will have them

I don't have his mobile number on me right now, will send it to you later

I also use postimage org ,,less screwing around than photobucket and some other image storage sights and they allow nudity works for me :P

Been away from home for couple of days so nothing happened

this morning I rubbed the dash back, masked it and undercoated it

Minor setback this morning

While I was preparing the centre of the dash, I noticed a piece of vinyl. When I removed it, this is what I found. Some dickhead hacked a hole in it just above where the radio is. The two holes are for the switches

IMG_7332.jpg

So I had to weld it, certainly not what I want after the car has been painted

Clamped a piece of metal behind the hole to avoid cat's whisker then weld a piece in

Then a skim of filler to take the unevenness out

IMG_7337.jpg

Then etch primed it and high filled it

Will block it tomorrow then get back to finishing the dash

Sprayed the gauges area this morning.  Looking good boys

Should finish the rest of the dash tomorrow morning. I only get to work on the car about an hour before work every morning so progress is slow

Still blocking the centre of the dash. While I am waiting for the high fill to dry, I tackled a job I have been putting off, tie rod ends

Took a lot of heat and hammering (and swearing of course) but eventually came off

I will now clean it and fit the new one

your IT guys at work are probably blocking a file sharing site through the corporate firewall  (not unreasonable from a security position)

I will be glad when I am done cleaning 5h!t off suspension parts

Dismantled the tie rods this morning, cleaned them and reassembled with new ends. Tomorrow I give them a coat of POR15 and start reassembling the front suspension next
