Is there access around the track for those of us who like to watch? and take photo's?

We're gonna make Sandown great again!

You know, I'm a great driver, really.. I've driven lots and many people tell me all the time im a great driver... We're gonna start by building a wall around the track...so you can run cup pipes at 110db and the neighbours won't care. You know I've done a lot of construction...

Was speaking with Darren the owner of Auto-Coupe Eltham today as I was checking the update on my SC and ran into GUT getting a few mods done.

Darren said he would be happy to come along today and support his current customers and provide assistance where he can to others.

This is also a great chance for those who have never met the nicest  guy in the biz or those looking for a fantastic workshop to meet Darren and see how much he knows and cares about his customer base and their cars.

Besides a car and tank of fuel. What do we need to bring?

That's pretty much it, just make sure you empty the car of everything (kids seats, spare tyre etc.) We will also be having an information night closer to the date to go over most of the typical checks prior to hitting the track. I will double check but I believe you maybe able to hire helmets through Driver Dynamics so don't run out and buy one just yet!

Hi Steve88

We're all super excited about the track day (now in Feb!) and it's fantastic that Darren from Auto-Coupe is interested in the event.

As you know, we have Trade Suppliers on the PFA - companies who have supported our forum for over 4 years now. These guys are invited to come to the track day and promote their businesses - free of charge - as a benefit of their membership.  Businesses like Darren's are welcome to participate, however as he has not been a Trade Supplier, he needs to have a chat with us, as there will be a fee.

There are plenty of opportunities available which we will be announcing soon for sponsorships and activities on the day. Shoot Darren's email through if he would be interested in being on the database.

Cheers,

Orlando

Hope I'm not out of line Orlando and also confirming I'm in the fitzgerald camp not with Auto-Coupe camp (if you're watching Peter?).  I think if their happy to look after the service of wheel changes, tyre pressures and the other things that pop up and can ruin a track day,  then it's great that they are looking after their clients.

I understand that PFA has advertisers, can you let me know which ones will be providing a track a side service?

Again mate hope I'm not out of line?

No Mate, not out of line at all!

We're hoping to provide a number of great services at the Track Day - there's even going to be a Photo Booth for your beloved…. (Pcar) that is.

We'll be announcing all of this shortly - but in the meantime, we intend to support those who support the forum first. (Auto-Coupe is warmly invited to become a supporter of the PFA BTW). People who have not contributed to the forum will need to pay a sponsorship fee. Existing trade advertisers don't pay and they get first dibs…..not to say there can't be more than one trackside garage offering services to the drivers.

As we said, if Auto-coupe or anyone else is interested in participating as a sponsor, we'll be providing goodies to help them build their profiles with the membership as part of the package.

We're after a WIN/WIN outcome.

Hi Orlando just spoke to Darren at Autocoupe and sent you his direct email and number. ??

Essentially I think the more members , potential members , specialist workshops , spectators and other contributors the better. Might be a case of Rennsport 2016.2

If I just wish to come for the day and watch all the action with the family and maybe bring a picnic etc is there a gate charge or do I just front up.

Phil,

We encourage any who wish to do so and fees for the day are only relevant to drivers.

No fee for passengers, no fee for showing up for the view, no fee to take photos, no fee to bring the family!

See you there!

I think we are pretty close to full but you should be ok - jump on it!

Booked :)

Might have to rent a hemlit though, pretty sure mine won't have an AS number being as it's from the UK.

Erp, haven't done a trackday in 10 years....and definitely not in anything with its engine in its arse.

According to Driver Dynamics terms and conditions page (which I have obviously read!) states "PLEASE DO NOT BRING SPECTATORS WITH YOU AS THEY WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY" and "PLEASE DO NOT ASK US FOR EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AS REFUSAL OFTEN OFFENDS"

So did PFA manage to get an exception to the T&C's?
