Pork Chops Posted 29March, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 29March, 2018 Car as it stands as the new Skunkywerks HQ. Frustratingly we can't do anymore until it goes to the autoelec and guess what I'm in the queue there...

Some shots of the new Skunkwerks location which they're bumping into right now (in addition to the images above). An old cheese making facility which was pretty much decommissioned and they walked out the door leaving everything. Lots of good things and lots of things that need fixing. If engineering, manufacturing or stainless steel give you wood, you'll like this place.

Yeah, I get your point but I bet they're better in the wet than anything from the 1970s and that didn't stop them from going out in the rain, so neither will it stop me . Cam Arnott Posted 11April, 2018 Report Share Posted 11April, 2018 Very nice! Do you know why there are two differing widths stamped on the tyres?

ANF Posted 12April, 2018 Report Share Posted 12April, 2018 "It now features a double set of markings with corresponding road size: a necessity due to the type approval required in order to be able to take part in championship races. " I think one is for general road sizing and the other to comply with classic racing? It is a bit vague the way they have worded it......

I doubt you can get originals and if you can I'd suggest they're very big money. Very. In other new just got my satin chrome stuff back. Not perfect in terms of consistency of finish and some pieces did need redoing but fairly happy overall.
Coastr Posted 18April, 2018 Report Share Posted 18April, 2018 Amazing that a facility once producing a staple diet for everyone now produces customized porsches for a very limited set of customers.
