given the amount of descriptions available on rennlist etc, I am planning to diy most of it except the final welding.

Eddie at Penrith City exhaust 02 47213838 charged $150 cash for both can,s ....The boys at Zag Automotive put me onto him ,,,Eddie does quality work at a great price I had my 997 Carrera S muffler modified with the Fister D mod using a inch and 3/4 bypass pipe sounds awesome when you get on the throttle and is quiet when cruising no drone or any negative aspect to the mod just a great flat 6 sound .

Any good exhaust shop can do this, you just need to give them the detail you require ie the diameter of the bypass pipe & some images so they know what you want. larger= louder. This assumes the theory applies to 993 as it does to 996.

got mine done at Tuff Muff (don't laugh) $240, mod only. Mine was a variation on this theme known as the PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) hack, as Raven says sounds great with planted loud pedal & std when around town etc

Does anyone know if any workshop here is experienced in modifying 993 stock exhaust into the fister or RSR mufflers?

Depends which stage of the Fister mod you are after.

Stage-2 uses external bypass and internal mods.

Stage-3 is all internal.
