Niko Posted 5March, 2017 Report Share Posted 5March, 2017 Try Imgur http://imgur.com/ Thanks Barry, Just tried that, did all the signing up and stuff then I can't for whatever reason load images onto it.No doubt user error I'm guessing. But I just wasted 1/2 an hour of this great day on it.So back to Photobucket, better the crap carrier you know, I'm thinking. Thanks anyway. Thanks anyway.Niko, how hard would it be for you to access the images on your phone?I'm thinking your shots would be great on instagram in their own right, but also its the very easy to share them on here. Waaaay easier than photof-cket.But you're not shooting on a phone...so you just need a way of getting them from your SLR to your phone, as you can't post direct to instagram from your computer. But there are some ways around it... http://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to-upload-photos-to-instagram-from-your-pc-or-mac
Harvs11 Posted 5March, 2017 Report Share Posted 5March, 2017 An adapter for your phone is handy to load photos from your digital camera memory card. This one is for a fruit phone but I'm sure you could find similar for whatever you have https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/232166594831

Luckily it only happens every now and again but it is extremely frustrating and time consuming.I don't post to instagram, seems too hard for a dinosaur.Considering I got a severe reprimand from certain other forum members the other day, for still operating a VCR on my telly. One day I might errrr "come out"....into the modern era.... I'm thinking that so far Photobucket has been a free service. I"m pretty close to my allowed free content. So maybe if I pay them some money it may improve... which is fair enough
Simonk Posted 5March, 2017 Report Share Posted 5March, 2017 I find Flickr works well. They have a phone app also so you can view your albums and download your photos to your phone that way, then upload them to Instagram.
grantmr Posted 6March, 2017 Report Share Posted 6March, 2017 I'd give imgur another go. You don't even have to log in to upload - unless you want to keep the photos under an account. It's more for sharing than archiving.Flickr is owned by Yahoo and thus an unsecure piece of shit. Photobucket is a spam trap.$0.02Looks like it was a great day. I slept in. Macca Posted 6March, 2017 Report Share Posted 6March, 2017 Soooo could have been me Macca! I'm known for gettting the date wrong by just one day! LOL!I would hope that the physiological behaviors would differ - I parked in the space just near the entrance quite chuffed that I had prime spot, after a couple of minutes of satisfaction, clarity dawned and I felt that I needed to move my worn 996 tip onto the street to let the real P's shine. After a couple of minutes on the street - I was lonely, then a little upset that I had made the effort to wake up and deprive myself of a coffee until now. I moved my car to the space next to my perceived "prime spot." Hopped out and admired how well I had washed it on Saturday - then moved it back to the "prime spot", Shortly again I felt guilty and moved it back. Caffeine withdrawal kicking in,I muttered to myself and fiddled with the radio -wondering why the staff were not onsite yet. Reality struck.....I drove back home with my tail between my legs to a deserving laugh and dig from the wife. BTW- she is still for sale (the reserve has now been lowered ) Niko, sandy468, grantmr and 5 others

(assume you have a PC, not apple) that way you can have it to play with & downsize it, etc... before uploading to you profile. When I try and copy it the profile will not accept the upload as it is too big (138kb and max is 40ish) Select the link beside the photo IMG_6955p. This will take you to the photo on Flickr. Once in there, at the bottom right there is a download option where you can select the size you want to download. 150 x 150 I think will be small enough to use as an avatar. Note for everyone else, you can use this method to download the original photo if you wish. Lucky Phil
