"Beloved", $235k...........vacuum clean?

??

With so many on the market, someone has to flinch and sell me theirs for $150k........just need a new, better model to be released and I'll be here.....waiting.  Then I can cancel the Cayman hotrod thread and live happily ever after.

If I had the funds to buy one, I'd buy one fitted with the factory Roll cage or CS option. I don't get why so many owners didn't spec that option. It is not like you lose rear seat space like in the GT3 and it isn't an expensive option in the whole scheme of things - it is after all a track focused car. $11K on top of the price of the car is chump change for those who can afford to buy the car in the first place. Why wouldn't you do it?

Not everybody is a gymnast which you need to be to get out of the seats! From my own situation with having had a broken hip and having the luxury of being able to try them before hand I knew the Light weight buckets were not going to work for me. I bought the car for me to enjoy not someone else so the choice was very easy! Thats why I didnt......

Not really need a roll cage... Way to hard core in my opinion.

I have been watching the market since launch. The GT4's with buckets sell quick. The others without sell slowly. Majority of models online don't have the 918 buckets. Roll cage is not necessary I feel. But buckets yes. However as @chris said everyone has their own opinion on the matter, and buckets for me is a must. I guess if you want to go in PRO events a cage would be necessary for you?

Point taken but you also bought the car to keep and not flip the following year. (not suggesting that the OP is doing so of course). I know of someone who doesn't even drive the car - it just sits in his garage.
