Shelby Cobra CSX 4048 for sale

Recommended Posts

Ever wanted a car with a history ?

1. Sold for $700,000 when the true value was $100,000

2. For sale for years.

3. "Stolen"

4. Found in a container with other exotics filled with weed on its way to New Zealand (yup, New Zeland ffs !)

5. Tried at $300,000 last year

6. Now for Auction ending tomorrow.  https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx?cid=8&smode=0&lid=1057251&pgn=1&pgs=100   Currently at $99,000.   For a track car, really.

But, it's not a 1965 car, it's a 1997 (I seem to recall) so even though some lucky bugger got it registered in NSW a while ago, that loophole has been closed up.

So a lovely CSX 4000 car for sale.......with a great history.....and unable to be registered in Australia for now (or ever).     Good deal

Forget air cooled Porsches, I should have filled a shed with r100s.  I remember when 10k would have bought all of them.

I picked up my series 3 rx7 a few months back and thought they were the only affordable rotary left (we will not mention the rx8 of course), imagine my shock seeing the ones at the Shannon's auction go for 27k-55k

It's a good time to mention that rx3s have leaf spring rear suspension, in case anyone is falsely remembering they are good to drive.

mmm that FD front cut for $6k though....would it fit in a 924 chassis?   The rx7 continually ripped off Porsche anyway...mix it up?

^^ I saw somewhere else on line that the R100 was at $135k and RX3 $145k before the auction finished.  Anyone know the results?  Can't see on Lloyds website
