Teutonic Posted 31May, 2017 Report Share Posted 31May, 2017 Morning all,i am looking at a 3.8rs wing for my 1974 body car. It currently wears complete 964RSR clothes and has the RSR wing added to the factory steel lid. The one I am looking at is from Japan so I suspect it is off a 964. Trying to confirm this. Just trying to get some idea of if they have the same footprint and are interchangeable or if they are dimensionally different to the engine lids on the G series cars. Any input appreciated. Stew F Posted 1June, 2017 Report Share Posted 1June, 2017 I remember seeing somewhere that there is an adapter kit you can buy out of the good ol US of A. Can't remember what it consisted of.
Teutonic Posted 1June, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 1June, 2017 ^^^ Sweet. Thanks for the tip. Will be using "bonnet" pins to latch it for full RSR effect. Will just need to see what needs doing at the hinge end. Will have a sniff around as would much prefer to buy something off the shelf than reinvent the wheel and fabricate from scratch. EDIT: And google dishes up the goods again. Might require something like this. http://www.gt-racing.com/911-964-hinge-adaptors-part-11a/
