Jason A Posted 27August, 2017 Report Share Posted 27August, 2017 (edited) Interestingly I have the same theory on import duty / laws. If we are lucky will end up with similar rules to NZ. There is a line under 996 benchmark to UK pricing. Own anything later than that - hold on it will get rough. Keep watching - a tuned 997 GT3 variant sounds interesting. dragon02 Posted 15September, 2017 Report Share Posted 15September, 2017 Now that the next GT3 will be available as a manual, what are opinions on where pricing of the 997 GT3 (mark 1 or 2) will head? Will the manual-inflated bubble burst?
symsy Posted 15September, 2017 Report Share Posted 15September, 2017 Down.. 997 GT3 by my read down 20% in last 6 months, 991 I personally feel will drop of 30%.They have to, I think the number of RS that have come here will hit them also. Its changeover time , when your done your done ..many owners are in the upgrade chase .. maybe its bargain time the markets got a full grid.Buy one and drive it..major fast bit of kit. I think for the average Joe … we are only comparing what we will never experience in many of these cars in terms of specs. dragon02 and GC9911
Kammo Posted 16September, 2017 Report Share Posted 16September, 2017 The 991.1 is a bit of an aberration being auto only so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.I'd also suggest that the driving experience between 991 and 997 is different enough that the 997 (and 996) will have its own following. dragon02 and bear924

I think thats where they will stay for now .. they were 240+.. then it really depends on spec , 229k Goldcoast Porsche low kms car went quickly .. I know to a member .. I dont know final numbers not my business but shows there is an appetite for the right car.. and as Silver owner .. thats the right color '.2s are around at 240 but not shifting and great cars are out there.Im generally a white whore .. but glad I have the silver , I would upgrade if it was fair deal for .1 to .2 as I think a GT3 for me is really now in the keep category, I couldnt say that before but I am quite smitten having had one for 7+ months.Coming back to the 991 though, if your partial to a PDK and want a bit more comfort .. shit at mid 2's or maybe even lower .. who wouldn't drive one daily..and it would maybe be a hard decision to not have cheap 991 over a .2 Chris-p, dragon02 and micknine01

Not interested in PDK trannie and preference is for Clubsport spec as I'm beginning to enjoy the odd track day or two. If there's any that come to mind, don't hesitate to post it up ;-)
Jason A Posted 19September, 2017 Report Share Posted 19September, 2017 Technology moves on, this will be the base engine for the next few years. So there will be a bit in the tank for developing more power.Options are, bigger capacity, or turbos, or V8 - so let's stick with NA and 5.0 litres
edgy Posted 3October, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 3October, 2017 This is simply stunning, I'd almost go there... no surprise really. Does anyone know the exact colour? I have seen one other that Doncaster sold used earlier this year, that had silver PORSCHE stripes down the side. It is one of my favourite colours for sure. I'm NOT! ?I think the colour may have been dropped from the 991 GT3 in 2015, it was on the 981 Cayman GTS. So you only see early cars in this colour.
