hi guys- SC driver that seems to be blowing off steam by a cruise around wherever in the east and abouts at any chance! I’ve been out the past 3 nights for an hour or two or three when the kids are in bed- for a coffee, a highway, and a curvy road or two.

Anyone up for a spontaneous drive tonight? And if not another time. Love a school night drive- less traffic- doesn’t have to be long or far just some time in a porsche. I’m heading out in an hour from Warrandyte

I'd be up for a drive one night too

Keep me posted

Cool- thinking when this typical Melbourne weather gives us a good day again, will post a note here and go from there.

Amazing how you can go here, there, and everywhere around Melbourne in a couple of hours without the traffic #getoutanddrive

Is the nocturnal wild life a concern for early evening drives?

It is for me. I've always been a bit cautious around that very issue. With daylight savings there's some time between the traffic easing off and rabbits, roos, foxes etc coming out to play.I'd be more inclined to stick a bit more metro for the evening drives personally.

Fast & the Furious style. Then we can find a car park and eat kebabs.

Yep, be cautious, as someone who has hit a Kangaroo in a Porsche can tell you; luckily I was travelling at "brisk pace"and the kangaroo went up the bonnet, over the windscreen and roof, but it was still scary and did a decent amount of damage. His head exploded on the windscreen and the brain matter and fluid blinded me for a good 20 seconds

I've got a line of blue LED's lying around somewhere. I'll run them around the undercarriage of my car to get the full boy racer look. Or maybe it's time to go RWB on my 964.

You owe me a 10 sec car.

I had a sharp reminder of the wildlife risk in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne recently - it was dusk on a wet Saturday on the road between Panton Hill and St.Andrews and I spotted a large kangaroo on the edge of the road so braked heavily such that I was only travelling at circa 30kph as I passed him on my LHS - the moment I passed with less than a metre clearance, he took off across the road directly behind me into the front of a Subaru Outback travelling in the opposite direction!

great point! I’m just outside Warrandyte so not too bad, but plan wouldn’t be all out in the woods roads.

yeah Andy a couple of windy roads then freeway bit of around the bay, coffee and just a general drive in our cars across the city without traffic.

I'm all about making it LOOK fast Hugh. Then I can stand around talking about how fast it is.
