Merv Posted 29October, 2017 Report Share Posted 29October, 2017 I am going to drop my motor and do the tinware, clean the oil cooler and so on very soon. I might as well do the clutch as well. I have a disk and cable but are there sources in Australia that are reasonable in price for 180mm clutch pressure plates? They all seem much more expensive than the OS options. rafikdous Posted 29October, 2017 Report Share Posted 29October, 2017 Hi Merv, aren’t they the same as the VWs?

Merv Posted 29October, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 29October, 2017 The clutch plate is indeed different (sprung not solid). And the pressure plate, I always thought - was different due to the depth of the 356 flywheel? And then there is the release bearing on the T6B being different from the C.And, it also just occurred to me that when I open up the clutch, it may in fact have been changed to the 200Mm at some stage in its career? Airhead Posted 30October, 2017 Report Share Posted 30October, 2017 Hi Merv, aren’t they the same as the VWs?That's why 356s with clutches fitted by cost saving "mechanics" drive like Shite.
