Merv Posted 10November, 2017 Report Share Posted 10November, 2017 One of my Bosch horn is not repairable. Anyone have an old one (I can repair them normally)? HO37 B-02 horn Cheers Merv
LeeM Posted 10November, 2017 Report Share Posted 10November, 2017 Would these kits help Merv? http://www.stoddard.com/porsche-356/porsche-body-electrical/horn.html
Merv Posted 10November, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 10November, 2017 Thanks Lee, but no, the contact breaker mechanism is the problem.
Merv Posted 21August, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 21August, 2018 I was given a couple of old derelict horns and from the three I now had, put together one functioning, low tone one. All good!
Merv Posted 22August, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 22August, 2018 A bit of a saga really with those horns but cheaper than buying refurbished ones. The contact points and the old foil capacitors are the tricky bits. I also had a small win with my electro-mechanical dash clock. It has been working but died again when the mechanical spindle bushing broke. I was given a broken clock by a colleague and used the good parts from both to rebuild the clock. Working well now. The attraction of a quartz movement replacement as available from Stoddart, etc., was there but that does not have the VDO logo on the face
