Pork Chops Posted 15November, 2017 Report Share Posted 15November, 2017 Any ideas how? Gasket is in tight as a nun’s chuff and I can’t see an obvious method other than brute force which I don’t really want to use.TIA.
Fraz Posted 15November, 2017 Report Share Posted 15November, 2017 Maybe try a hair dryer, warm up the gasket to make it a bit more pliable.Just don't get it too hot.

Pork Chops Posted 15November, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 15November, 2017 So looks like it’s a driver side mirror only! I’ll see if I can get some mirror glass cut...The trick is not to bend the thin glass would you believe. It’s a very tight fit so you need to get a very thin flexible knife in behind the gasket, in serveral places (in my case 3 knives) at once, and ease it out. Little by little. Bit by bit. Be patient....

Pork Chops Posted 15November, 2017 Author Report Share Posted 15November, 2017 I reckon a bit of lube would be a good thing too. Will certainly use some when I try to shove it back in. Never do it dry.
