Gordon Murray's MK1 Escort - Retropower Build

Gordon Murray's MK1 Escort - Retropower Build Episode 16

This video has "movement and sound", the white & steel wheels for me is a little underwhelming for such an incredible build (I would have commissioned vermillion fire or British Racing Green with sprintmaster wheels 😉)

Yeah I thought the same.  crazy detail and spend and it looks a bit soft.

Obviously this wasn't the brief but how much better does this look.

Yep, I would have gone with the Group 4 look, but I do love what they've done. Except the wheels...they're horrid.

Now you have my interest with a Cortina 👍Not a fan of the Escort

I owned a Lotus Cortina replica many years ago, and found an Escort van in a country town that had a Lotus twin cam in it which ended up in the Cortina. Love those cars and have owned a few MK1's and MK2's, yet even good replicas are commanding big money nowadays

Cortina 2 - Retropower Cosworth Duratec MK1

Maybe not of love for old Fords on this forum? but I know there is a lot of love for automotive engineering and this Cortina is unreal

Having owned a few MK1/2 Cortinas, I love that! 250hp is going to be fun too. The amount of work they've done is huge
