JWM Posted 1February, 2020 Report Share Posted 1February, 2020 I find those statuses can be flakey sometimes on Carsales, especially if you don’t get an email notification about the change... I often look a couple days later and it will just be listed again as normal...

spiller Posted 1February, 2020 Report Share Posted 1February, 2020 I don’t trust the carsales notifications with a pinch of salt. More often than not it’s the seller/dealer playing games just so people who have saved the cars get an alert. General fuckwittery that is off putting. The Australian numbers are as follows for years 2010 and 2011 GT3 Total - 53 Club Sport (003) Option - 36 Touring - 17 Interesting to note GT3RS V GT3 World wide there were 2200 997.2 GT3 Sold compared with 1600 997.2 GT3RS In Australia there were 36 997.2GT3CS sold compared with 40 RS's Does anyone have the breakdown of 997 GT3 Gen 1 cars for Australia only? I see there was a Total of 111 cars. Specifically interested in the number of Touring vs CS? But would also be interesting to know the colour breakdown we received here too. (apologies if this has been posted, but I have looked and so far not found)

(apologies if this has been posted, but I have looked and so far not found) This is the most recent GT3 & GT3RS data I have seen, this is verified by PCA and was collated by @RHDPorsche on Instagram ( @1st on here I believe) it includes other GT & RS variants, notably the delivery numbers are lower for 7.1 here and 7.2 higher than the old data from GT3 resource. I wonder if there is correlating colour data to go with this? I've long thought about setting up a registry for early GT cars such as these.... 993RS- NEW and UPDATED .... well inasmuch as I've added the 993 Carrera RS RHD imports which numbered 37 split between the more popular touring and the (much raced) lightweight CS internal code '003' variant 2. Here's a grid of the RHD GT and RS 911 Porsche deliveries in Australia showing the rarest cars from the first Carrera RS's in 1995/6 to 2016/7's 911R deliveries, which we can confirm is 35 cars for Australia. See my earlier post for those rarer RHD Australian cars delivered in numbers less than 10 units only. . There are a few interesting figures with the 997 GT2RS the rarest modern 911 variant with just 5 units sold along with the 997 RS 4.0 deliveries totalling only 6 units. . Conversely the the GT3 has sold spectacularly well with 164 x 996 GT3s and 147 x 997 GT3s having been delivered locally. 68 x GT2's (excluding RS) have also been delivered in Australia between the 996 and 997 models. . These are Porsche Cars Australia (thanks guys) verified actual numbers - so when you see dealers or owners hyping the rarity of a particular model with incorrect numbers they're potentially falsifying the data ... or just don't know. 👎the information for the current 991 series GT3 and GT3RS is unavailable as deliveries are still occurring ! I'll publish soon a subsequent list of the 'next rarest' 911 variants and also the other non 911 special car deliveries. The Aussie racers including the 964RSR, 934's and 935's and the 924 GTS and GTR etc will be dealt with separately, also. . 356's are a little harder to verify but I'm pulling all my data together to get a handle on this too - I'm of course happy to receive sourced submissions please folks. sleazius Posted 10February, 2020 Report Share Posted 10February, 2020 I've been shot down a couple of times for saying there were only 6 x GT3RS 4.0 originally delivered. It was the number my dealer gave me so there you go!

It seems those numbers in the table for the 997.1 vs 997.2 GT3 were mistakenly reversed. It would make more sense too, as whenever these cars have been in circulation over the years, it has always seemed the 997.2 appears far less often. Still, it seems the breakdown of 997.1 GT3 Touring vs Clubsport remains elusive. Might have to probe just how willing they are to respond to requests for info like this. 9 hours ago, edgy said: I wonder if there is correlating colour data to go with this?
