Vacuums - Interior clean etc

I walk in and out across grass and stone every day to get in an out of my car and I am forever vacuuming out the cars.

The daily Landy is also always full of sand..as the designated beach walk chariot.

Anyway , I get sick of having to go inside and carry the bloody Dyson out the house and also find the attachment on both old barrel and stick varieties a pain in the arse in the small cabin space. Also too bulky for many of the crevices, down sides of seats.

Anyone found any really good attachments and or a really good brand of unit , that I can leave in the garage specialised to cars perhaps?   I generally take a soft brush and clean the dash etc for dust but again if there is a specialised tool would be interested if anyone has found one.

Last question , alacantra , to vacuum or not to vacuum??

I’ve got a handheld Dyson vacuum that works pretty well. Rechargable and runs for a bout 20 mins so you could just leave it on the charger in the garage. This is the more recent model but there will be cheaper ones without the stick which you won’t need for the car: https://www.dyson.com.au/mobile/vacuums/dyson-v8?utm_campaign={campaign}&utm_source=google.com&utm_medium=paid+search

Otherwise there is something like this: https://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/metrovac/vac_n_blow

I use a wet & dry industrial vac- a bit noisy but been very happy otherwise.  Purchased a multi head attachment kit with all sorts of bits for getting into tight spaces - which seems to have been the best combination for me (long thing hoses with a variety of brush fittings for the end).

I just use an old Electrolux vacuum with a crevice tool and small cushion head. It doesn’t have those big plastic handles on the end of the hose that the new ones have, just a short solid tube section so I can get Easily to all areas of the car and stays in the garage. For the Alcantara you can definitely use the vacuum, just guide the end of the crevice tool slightly above the Alcantara to “lift up” the fibres. For your steering wheel and gear knob you can use a specialist Alcantara/fabric cleaner and microfibre and lightly dab any of the heavier soiling and then vacuum up the fibres.

I use a shop vac (long hose so good for accessing the car); and an adaptor kit, simple one from supercheap does the job.

Also frequently use a bissell carpet cleaner which does a super job of lifting stainds, dirt and grime which is also small and v portable

Ryobi or similar cheap shop vac and a Hoover head kit from supercheap does the trick for me. The adaptore get to any crevice and the ‘turbo head’ actually does a good job of agitating fabrics to get sand etc out
