Boss lady said no interstate cars and no manuals, I found this 2000 Boxster S Tipper here in Sydney, it looks rather clean, albeit the colour is a little mundane compared to what I had in mind, but that colour is perhaps fine for daily duties, and the jury, a.k.a. the filthy rhodium silver macan in front of my office seems to rule in my favour, confirming, this is indeed, sage self advice.

But what do we think of the pricing? I feel its a little high, but I have not followed the market too much or traded one of these ever, can anyone shed light on that.

Also for anyone looking:

This one is a lovely looking example, colour combination and condition. Damn you fun police and your no interstate trip and no manual policy

The auto silver has been on CS for a long time. Iv seen cars come and go with less km for the same price, but I guess km isn’t everything. Tried to view it a few times but the owner was always busy when I was free.

That seal grey one is lovely, such a nice looking car!

This just came up on my alerts, its absolutely mint by the looks of it. Anyone know the car? What do we think of the price? Seems high on face value for a 2.5 tipper, but if the condition is as good as the photos suggest?

It's at Autohaus Hamilton, so it's probably as good as it looks, and they say it is.  I think it has been there a month or so, so they may be negotiable by now.  You won't know unless you ask.....

I'm not normally a fan of the light colored interior but that is kinda funky with the matching gauges, looks mint.

Thanks, good to know, it just popped up so now and I've been looking so not sure if they had it listed previously or not?

It’s been there for quite a while. In my experience, Carsales seems to resend notifications of “new cars” when they’ve been sitting for a while....

Seems on the pricier side.  If they'll do the IMS as part of the price that would be a different story.  Also looks to be a pretty big gap between the recent AH service and the one before it.

Does look nice, though

Good spotting

I called them this afternoon about it, I too noticed the gap from 110,000 kms in 2013 and the 138,000 service earlier this year.

I brought this up with them and he said he would look into and get back to me.

He returned my call after he had called Willoughby and it had a service at 130,000 kms in 2015. They’re going to have the records updated this week he said.

I thought I had read somewhere that back when these were new porsche was advocating min intervals of 2 years and/or 20k ? I could be wrong, please correct me if not.

Sounds and looks like a gem, I’ll see where it goes from here, I agree money needs to come off given the spec, KMs etc but I think they’re pretty close to the mark of all is as it seems

Been to see that one. Something wasn’t right about it. Little service history (low km but not serviced regularly over time) scrape down the rear wheel arch from reversing out the driveway, no sticker under the hood (damaged?). Not a good vibe

Yep, some say this is a contributing factor to various engine problems and recommend at least annual engine oil changes.

So my better (well earned) half realised this is Lapis Blue.... I missed that detail 🤦🏼‍♂️

anyway, I have spoken to the owner today, sounds like a good one. I am going to check it out next week as soon as the owner & I can make our schedules line up.

More to come...

This one was just marked as sold, I guess there is a market for Boxsters in such condition!
