Noticed that one last night fellas and bookmarked it, thanking you.

Im currently locked in to inspect the Lapis Blue 2001 S tipper on Sunday afternoon, so pending how that goes, we shall see if we are continuing the hunt or not! I’ve done due diligence on PPSR and with PCA, so far so good... but absolutely always good to have options!! 👍

Also bargaining power when there's another car too.......

Ok,

We looked at the 2001 Lapis Blue 986 S, seems like an honest car, full service history, presents ok, but has had a 1/4 repaint at some point that isn’t up to par, (passes the 1 metre test, but don’t look too close) it is due for a Major Service and a few other incidentals.

Everything seems to be in good working order, runs good, drives good and the motor runs smooth with no rattles eveindent.

I’ve left an offer with the owner with all things being considered, we shall see how it goes.

What's the story with this one https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-Boxster-2006/SSE-AD-5742218/?Cr=2 ?

Built in 2006 and compliance in 2013?

That ad has the fanciest translation of “personal import” I’ve ever read... 😂

(I assume)

Terracotta and Dark Blue, nearly as nice a combo as Terracotta and Seal Grey......😉

Odd indeed, I’d of thought personal import but then it would have a different plate? I’d really like to hear the story on this one, someone call and get it 😂

Gives us a topic to kick around tomorrow night @edgy you will be totally confused about which way to go on this with 10 other opinions and a few wines🤪

I certainly do have a conversational piece... the owner of the Lapis car ended our discussions by telling me I need to go buy a newer car, implying that I was unreasonable.

For the record, my offer was $18k and NO PPI, granted it needs at least $3-4K in work that is “known” I felt that a total cost of $22k for a Boxster S tip with a crappy repair job on its 1/4 panel was not unbearable but reasonable.

The moment I mentioned the only way I’d pay more than my offer was if it was subject to PPI, well he just shut down and went on a tirade.

Anyway, consider this a public service announcement for PFA...

That offer sounds more than generous @edgy

I think so too, for the record, he came down to $19k and that’s when I practically said, I will raise my offer, sure, if it passes PPI... the fact he wouldn’t back himself makes me suspicious, he implied I’d low ball him after an inspection... well don’t give anyone a reason to I say!

Based on our dialogue, Cheapskate Porsche owner is pretty much the case here.

That seems pretty fair.

Anyone know this one? Being a 2.5 car its on the pricey side, but has all the big $$$ maintenance done including LN IMS solution... love the interior.

Pricey but looks like it's loved and low kms, seems reasonable to me.

Me personally, I’d say a bit pricey but it’s not my money 😬

Hero colours, same colour scheme as mine. Boxster red int, always looks great in person, just needs the black dash cover removed and a set of black floor mats to match the other black bits and the dogs dick red glows!

2.5 is the one to have I reckon, and that one looks very good.
