seems like a good opportunity to use a 5cyl ;)

Quite possibly and read about it a bit

There is also the motor werks racing out of the US conversion using the AUDI 1.8 tirbo

I like that for obvious reasons power weight  etc however still a lot of monkeying about.

Worked 924 turbo with intercooler and other doo dads ‘simpler’ and good for plus 200hp

Even bog std better than what’s in it now

I know of one owned by a retired guy down near me on the Mornington Peninsula only problem is his valuation he thinks it's worth heaps I had a look at it when I was looking for one,I'm with the 5cyl conversion idea those cars look great

Hi Michel yes it’s white and valuation is about right

I think it's overpriced at that figure ...

Obviously it's too good to be torn apart for spares, but unfortunately they just haven't reached those prices yet (on today's market) ...

I would be thinking more around the mid teens, maybe a bit more, is where a decent example sits ..

This is only my .02c worth, and as an owner of one, it's in my best interest for them to be worth more ...

They'll have their day in the sun ... it's just not yet .. ^_^

It's an interesting speculation. As the combustion age is ending , other engines will be suggested. Will the carcass be 1. valued and 2. amenable to modification?

The next generation is unlikely to "invest" in such cars , if any old cars. They will condemned as global warmers and blamed for all the ills of the world!

They already are!! ... global warming, polution and all that ..

That's why electric cars are so popular with the greenies, who quite coincidentally are happy to look past the fact that to charge their global saving devices, need the power plants to do so, thus contributing to global warming, polltion etc ....

There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza, dear Liza .....

Yes , + embodied energy in new chassis , but don't expect them to acknowledge our ability to win that discussion point!

Hi Michel,

There is a 81 brown turbo for sale on Gumtree and the guy has a spare motor for it.

Maybe worth a call.

" Complete 924 Turbo motor including exhaust system. Approx 72,500 kms, was running when removed from vehicle. "

Hope he kept his fingers out of the way all those spinning belts and pulleys.

The person that bought my 924 turbo project is considering selling it, would be a good donor for you if the price is right, the engine had a bit of work done by the previous owner to me. Pm me for the phone number
