3legs Posted 26June, 2018 Report Share Posted 26June, 2018 Just going through some old Porsche memorabilia and found these 2 bottles of wine/plonk. The Cobweb Port is easy to figure out where that came from. The Carrera Claret claret came from a 44 gallon drum (if I remember correctly) and bottled at a Porsche Club of Qld members place back in 1983 ( I think it was Peter Harburgs place but I could be wrong). Maybe a PFA member was there as well and could correct me. This when I was much younger and a PCQ member and from memory it tasted like shit ( hence why the bottle is still full☺️ ). I had a few bottles of the Cobweb Port and it was a very nice drop. I decided to keep one unopened so that makes the port 39 years old. Anyway thought I would share some memories. TwoHeadsTas Posted 26June, 2018 Report Share Posted 26June, 2018 I have / had(?) a couple of Cobweb Port bottles (now empty ?) from MG Nat Meet days, probably similar vintage, plus I've seen a couple of other marque ones too. Cobweb must have been the "go to" winery in those days, interestingly the printing and style on the bottles are all very similar.....
