VIN not working for me.

I cant seem to be able to check this VIN with any auto readers. VIN check etc. Am I reading it wrong.

Interesting as it is a late 1983 car.

But does have the 4spd and twin dizzy etc.

Late '83 build probably puts it as a MY84

The last 3 or 4 months of a year usually mean the following year model. Mine is a late 82 build for 83 year model, quite common with Porsche and a lot of other car makers.

The 'E' in the vin designates the car as a 1984 model year car, e.g:

1980 = A, 1981 = B, 1982 = C, 1983 = D, 1984 = E.
